"We're going to the courtyard," Felix insisted. He grabbed his coronet off of a mannequin and placed it in my hands. "Can you make sure it looks alright?" He turned around, I studied the back of him, trying to find any flaw. None. I delicately placed the coronet on his head, careful not to ruin even a single strand of hair. He turned back around facing me, effortlessly, and unknowingly striking a pose. "How do I look?" he asked. He glowed with radiance, an aura of sophistication was jumping off his body.

"You look amazing," I responded, trying not to blush.

"Let's be off, shall we?" he walked out of the room into the hallway. The walk to the courtyard was awkward. There was no real conversation. Every so often I'd try to initiate but he wouldn't give me anything I could respond to.

We arrived in the courtyard, which had just been mowed. The aroma of fresh cut grass was lingering in the air. The courtyard was a large square with a fountain which graced the center. The sides were lined with cherry blossom trees. Pink petals scattered amongst the courtyard, providing an illusion and atmosphere of serenity.

"What do you want to do?" I asked him.

"Don't talk," he commanded. He walks over to a nearby tree and plucked off a cherry blossom and placed it in his hair, smiling. He made his way over to the fountain and took a seat at the edge. He motioned for me to join him. Obediently, I sat next to him. He's stared at his reflection in the water, singing to himself.

"What are you singing?" I ask.

"Doja Cat," he responded, not taking his eyes off himself.

"Which song?"

"Freak," he hummed. Freak? That seemed like the last Doja Cat song I'd expect him to like. He seemed like a Woman type of person. I stared at him, he seemed so happy.

"Felix?" I spoke up, finally breaking the silence. He looked up, curious to what I had to say.

"Yes?" I took a deep breath, as I wondered if I should really ask what I'm about to.

"Are you alright?" I blurted out. He tilted his head, looking at me confused.

"What do you mean?" he questioned.

"Thirty minutes ago you were a little..."

"A little what?" he asked, sounding a tad irritated.

"Bitchy," I confessed. He looked at me, his eyes were scrunched in slight anger. I braced myself to be berated with a flurry of words. Instead, his face sank, in a sullen look. He stared back into the fountain.

"I'm sorry, I wasn't trying to be. I was quite excited to meet you actually," he looked back at me, his eyes were sparkling. He wanted to meet me? Wow, I don't know how to feel.

"You were?" I asked. He nodded his head.

"I've just had a rough week," he sighed, rubbing his head. "This is my happy place. Don't tell anyone, please," he pleaded. "Whenever I come here I forget about everything. This place, is where... where I can just exist." I wrapped my arms around him in a hug, it was clear he needed one. He seemed to let himself go, falling into an abyss of comfort and security. He took a deep breath and I released him. He fixed his coronet, a buzzing sound came from his back pocket. He dug his phone out and put it to his ear.

"Hello?" he answered. The queen was on the phone, I couldn't understand what she was saying but she sounded upset, and a little angry. As each second passed, Felix's expression became more melancholy until, finally, he hung up. "Mother's requested audience with me in the throne room," he said standing up.

"I'll escort you," I offered.

"I don't want you to escort me." Damn, that's cold. I thought we were on a better note, I guess not. "Just, take a break. I'll see you later today," he demanded. He starts to walk off but turns back around. "Give me your phone," he commanded. Obediently, I handed it to him. He studied it for a second. "You need a new phone. This one's old. What version is it?" Felix judged.
