For Kaede's bday, she wanted to have a reverse surprise party.
Or the class was going to throw her a party and she found out and asked Kirumi to help out on her reverse surprise party.
If you don't understand that process it's basically Kaede throwing a surprise party to her classmates that were trying to throw her a surprise party.
And honestly, nobody expected it. Not even Kokichi, and he suspects everything. Maki either, she was genuinely surprised.
Kaede would say that was one of her best birthdays.
