She has never felt the urge to insult someone as many times as Kokichi and her number 1 insult is "That's a sadist's move."
And legit, the first time she called him that he actually thought he heard her wrong. Like there was no way she, being the mostly silent type, called him that-
He's just genuinely confused for the first time in his life.
Kokichi: Kill you? I can just watch as your slow miserable life caves in on you, why have you go out the easy way?
Maki: You're a sadist.
Kokichi: I'm a what???
Tha would be the only time you see him shocked.
But after the first few times it's hard to decifer if he finds it as a compliment or an insult.
Maki: Why do you have sadistic tendencies?
Kokichi: Why don't you?
Or...
Maki: That's a sadist's move.
Kokichi: GASP, that was NOT. How dare you.
