Let's just start this because I need to update this book already ;-;

I bared my teeth a gave the person a toothy smile as I held them up against the wall, preparing to lay the final blow that would end this group of people. Well almost. There was still like 2 more that watched in horror as they watched they're friend try to fend me off I slashed my claws against the others throat as they fell limp. It kind of sucked that the others were just standing there instead of doing anything to help this guy, I dropped they're corpse nonetheless and slowly approached them they began panicking instantly and holding up they're weapons like a scythe and a small gun.

"Stay back!" One of them shouted while waving the scythe at me in an attempt to scare me off. What did they think I was some wild animal. They quickly tried to hit me with the scythe but I grabbed the end of it and broke the thing in half before pouncing on them with bared teeth as they struggled to get away, the other like they should got up and ran away at the scene forcefully slamming the doors behind them before fleeing for the human base. I put my claws to the others face and dragged them up causing it to have now brutal scars before I tore at their neck.

"Well that was to easy." I said. I was hoping I had been saying it to their ghosts. I stood back up and stretched, licking the blood off of my paws as I stared down at the body's and back at the caves. It wouldn't hurt to take a small break would it? I shrugged it off and walked away into the caves as some blood at my feet dripped behind me but slowly began to fade when I walked in it was a bit more brighter then it had been at the other area since the crystals would accompany a glow to help with other gootraxians eyesight. I couldn't see why the crystals couldn't be a very dark black to it'd make a blackout a lot more thrilling. I continued to walk down the dark painted cave before I heard whimpering just behind one of the crystals not going to lie, there has been a lot of humans that failed to hide themselves in a blackout they'd just cry like little kids until it was over and a lot more calm. I crouch down and began stalking over to it with my muscles tensed being ready for anything this person could have thrown at me when it hears me coming, I jumped up and curled to the other side of the crystal to see Carneline. Hiding behind the crystal and just weeping. They jolted a bit when I leapt out of the shadows just to realize it was me and begin wiping they're tears in an attempt to hide the fact that they were just crying, oh great what the hell am I supposed to do now?

"Uhhh-"

"I'm fine!" They interrupted while holding their paws to their face.

"First off. That's not what I was going to ask. Second. Don't interrupt me and I won't tear what's left off your face off." I snarled the last part as I neared them. They went silent for a second before chuckling a bit and looking back up at me with a rather forced smile.

"You still want to know anyway though." They sneered. I would tear off their arm but like it or not, they were definitely right. Especially because I know Carneline isn't the type of person to cry they were always prepared to throw some humans into walls and torture them until they're last breaths. I give them a stern glare and sit next to them, my ears timidly bending as I listened out for what they had to say but our surroundings at the same time.

"I'm not a fan of blackouts... At all.." They mumbled while clenching their fist and looking around wearily as a few noises of the crystals offly making bellowing noises sounded. Of course it's normal it'd do that every power outage or blackout. a blackout was a lot more intimidating beyond standard though. I held a paw to my mouth and coughed, not without saying 'wuss' before I had finished. They batted me in the head with a loud hiss.

"Jerk." They said with their teeth bared as they continued to stare off into the distance. I laughed a little bit.

"Imagine being scared of the dark, especially you! Your the least person I'd expect to have fears. Well, other then Nightcrawler." I said rolling my eyes due to their now moody attitude. they crossed their arms and held them against they're stomach, looking visibly uncomfortable.

"Nightcrawler has a fear." They said shifting a bit closer to me.

"They do? Tell me!" Of course I didn't know that! If Nightcrawler had a fear I'd scare them with it 24/7 and tease them about it for the rest of my life.

"No." They turned away from me with a huff.

"What? WHY?" I leaned over them and dug my claws into the ground. Bruh come on I need to know.

"Because you were being mean to me." They'd utter, trying to act as if they were butt hurt over me admitting to them being afraid of the dark. I flipped my head back and groaned in annoyance before grabbing their shoulders from behind and shaking them back and fourth.

"What do you want me to do then!?" I shout. Getting rather impatient as they completely refused to talk to me as their ears narrowed down.

"Pleaseeee. I'll do literally anything." I gulp. Carneline perked their ears and looked back at me with a neutral smile as their fur bristled a little bit. They turned their body to face directly at me and held they're arms out.

"Hug." They stared at me expectantly. You've got to be kidding me.

"Really?" I growl as I unsheathe my claws. They nodded their head rapidly and looked back up at me with those dumb eyes. Fine! I lean into their arms and they squeezed me tightly with a small squeal, cute, but pathetic. I scoffed and rolled my eyes as they gave a few licks to my shoulder before resting their chin on it as their tail wagged rapidly. I lifted my paw up and wrapped it around their arm as they continued to pat my head and purr against me.

"Can you tell me now?" I mumble, trying not to be so loud so no one saw me like this. They squeezed me a bit tighter so I wasn't able to move or get away.

"Sure. They don't have one." They say casually as they get up to look at me. I bared my teeth and roared at them with literally everything I had before trying to push them away, my eyes bleeding and growing a bright blood red as I continued to shout profanities as loud as I could. I couldn't care less if someone heard my sudden outburst from a mile away.

"GOD I HATE YOU, YOU IDIOT SLUG!" I began brutally trying to scratch their face but they ducked down and burst into laughter at my sudden fit.

I managed to punch Carneline in the face and swiftly get away from them, by the time I had the blackout had ended and the lights practically blinded me. Gosh thanks a lot. I suddenly ran into someone.

"Oh hey Panther." I heard. I look down to see Nightcrawler waving at me with their goggles held down to their neck. I give them a small wave as they pulled out a small camera and turned it on.

"You won't believe what I got a pic of~" They said in a teasing like tone as they shoved the camera in my face to show a picture of me and Carneline just a few seconds ago.

"Ya'll dating or what?" They snickered. A mad blush spread on my face.

"WHAT THE F^CK??"
