This takes place long after the ruin of Laminax Facilities, all of the living samples had escaped containment and made an efficient living space out of the materials that were left behind. It had almost been completely forgotten. After they managed to free the remaining survivors trapped inside they considered allowing the gootraxians to thrive where nobody would find them. Humans being.. humans, they decided to return and attempt to salvage whatever was left of the lab, returning the goos back to their respective cells and continuing their research.

In present time the operation had been going surprisingly well, they haven't taken their chances in cleaning up the most hazardous items around the debris like slime puddles and the place was still an absolute wreck, but they've managed to secure most of the gootraxians they were able to find. The generators were undergoing maintenance in order to stop the frequent power outages and in doing so it's helped them in discovering more exclusive goos.

Few caught their attention but one specifically would be the Sinox. There was a shortage of numbers when it came to this gootraxian in general but the humans somehow found them useful. They knew common English and their intelligence impressed them enough to the point they trained them to be scientists, they were huge help when it came to learning more about separate species like living conditions and special tactics. They thought they'd be able to assist them when it came to communicating with other gootraxians but that seemed to be the only thing they lacked when it came to their several abilities that were already in use. One traversed the hallways with a clipboard in hand, they had a large lab coat that barely reached their knees and small glasses that were missing it's lenses. It's tail swayed side to side as it walked, occasionally lashing as they inspected the contents of what they were holding. They had just been assigned multiple duties by head scientists. What angered them was the fact majority of them involved gas lighting frightened gootraxians into trusting the same humans who locked them in cages and forced them to turn against each other, this was a common assignment that they'd assign to Sinox, and it made their fur prickle with both anxiety and frustration. They had a right to be afraid, they knew exactly what they were going to do to these poor goos after their trust was gained whether it was test's that involved the torture of a single one or interaction between two different species that considered each other as rivals.

They wouldn't do it if they didn't have to but they knew the humans would see no use in keeping them around if they weren't useful to the operation, considering their options was a life threatening decision enough. They skimmed through the several pages that contained paragraphs of their task, it didn't provide any help as they already knew what their objective was. What was really important didn't arrive until they approached the very last page, the stack of paper was already thin by the time they stopped flipping through the pages. What was there was a list of the gootraxians they needed to tend to, the majority being ones that were known for being the least hostile like Figs, Plantix, Cafeteria dwellers etc. Being stripped of a significant environment they lived in all their lives is bound to make them fearful. Then there were a few surprising ones. One in question would be a Mochi that went ballistic and mauled it's cell mates, another being a Figs that purposefully gave a security guard food poisoning. These things would happen more frequently the longer they remained in containment, they've recommended letting them wander a few times but the opinion of a Sinox did not appeal them. Finally they arrived to the very bottom of the page and the most shocking documented subject. 

It was a Buck who's written description repeatedly contained the words of frightened and untouched. The Sinox, who would usually skip over this part of the listing raised a brow, stopping in the middle of the halls to get a better look at what they were reading. This was very rare. Blackout/Outage gootraxians were known to be more aggressive and resisting when it came time to be moved or even have human contact, when either types were listed on a piece of paper it'd be because they either escaped the lab and were running loose around the facility or the people who wrote it were advising them to be cautious when encountering or even walking by their cell since most were easily startled. These were exclusively written for security guards. The Sinox began to wonder if they picked up the wrong documents, backtracking towards the pages they had carelessly skimmed through. Surely enough, the head scientists actually wanted them to reassure this Buck who wouldn't let any human closer then a few feet near them. They haven't attacked anyone or even snapped the only uncommon behavior was wailing in fright. This interested them but at the same time they wondered what the hell they must've done to this thing to make it so reluctant as they continued walking down the hall, making a sharp turn towards the cell holding area.
