Ghost Fox x Protogen

Quite literally Fox and the Hound

Ghost fox was once again wandering around the caves with a long frown like any other day. He had come in search of peace since the other goos kept on judging him for his gloomy attitude that'd he'd have most of the day, saying that'd he'd always ruin the atmosphere whenever he showed up. Ghost fox sighed, his frown lengthening as he'd raise his arms to hug his own body.

"It's not like they want me there anyway.." He mumbled to himself, looking back towards the cafeteria. He was there with a few other goos, but when he realized none of them were paying attention to him he quietly excused him self, none of them even noticed him leave. He knew good and well he didn't fit in with the rest of them so he normalized keeping to him self and getting used to being constantly ignored. An aspect he thought would never change.

He happened to stumble upon the heavy electrical melt door that showed the beautiful scenery of the green room through the giant window. He liked to spend some of his free time there with Plantix since they didn't mind their company, but Plantix had his own things going on, he didn't want to bother him every time he was in a bad mood, which would be all the time. Still though, he carried on through the doorway and ended up standing before the automatic doors. He was standing right infront of the sensor, contemplating if he should even go in or not. He quickly decided not to though, turning towards the help desk and proceeding on.

When he made it inside he noticed something he hadn't seemed to notice before.

There had always been a broken door in this room and it connected to somewhere no one had identified, and due to it being broken it wouldn't open. But this time it was, and with a few additional claw marks across it, all of them eventually stopping at the middle entrance. Ghost froze, looking around the room to find it a complete wreck. And like the door before there were claw marks all over both the ground and walls, papers torn and scattered across the ground. He was confused and very anxious about the scene held before him, his stomach churning at each sight around the room and his claws digging deeper into the fur on his arms. His body couldn't stop trembling. His eyes landed on the door again. Despite the things he had just witnessed, he couldn't help but be a little curious of what was inside. He thought long and hard about it, terrifying images of whatever could have caused this mess flashing in his mind as he cautiously approached the door. He slowly ran his paw along the marks, aweing at the fact they were slightly bigger then his small paws. He didn't want to believe they were THAT small... He slid his paw across the door and gripped the inner parts of the doorway, pushing them apart slightly so he could squeeze inside.

It was only then that he realized, when he fell face first onto the tiled floor that he could've just went through it, cursing himself before putting his feet below him and brushing off his fur. Something almost instantly caught his eye after he did so. He assumed it was a gootraxian, a very broken, oil leaking gootraxian. After closer inspection he identified it as some sort of robot.

"It looks dead." He convinced him self. He quickly was able to relax him self after he did so, his muscles relaxing as he freely crept towards the corpse with a sheepish smile. He sat on his knees and admired it's build, surprised that humans can even create this type of technology, at least he thought they were human, anyone could have made this. He began stroking it's fur, it was both soft and well kept... He questioned this. It looked like it was abandoned when he first saw it, but now that he took time to really take in the details, it was as if it had just been dropped off here. He tilted his head, hovering his paw over it's visor before a shock of energy went through his entire arm, forcing him to swiftly pull it back and stagger backwards. The face of it quickly came on with a loud intro noise, Ghost fox nearly had a heart attack when it started moving and trying to stand.

He did so before the robot did and ran to the back of the room, it's head tracking him the entire time. When he turned back to it it was staring at him, the glow from it's curious eyes practically encasing the room with a light cyan. Surprisingly, it smiled after it saw his petrified face.

"Hello!" It said cheerfully, turning it's focus back to getting on it's feet. Ghost just watched as they did, not having the strength nor energy to keep them from charging at him. After a few attempts it was able to stand up straight, not wasting any time in walking towards Ghost fox with that strange smile. But he quickly reacted to this.

"W-w-wait! What the h-hell are you d-doing!?" He stuttered, pressing his back against the wall and gripping it with his claws. It stopped and tilted it's head.

"It'd be rude not to introduce my self to my new master, wouldn't it?" He cringed at the name, sweat running down his forehead.

"N-not in the way your t-thinking.. And what 'MASTER??'" He asked. It simply shook it's head.

"You seem new to this. I am a Protogen! And I now dedicate my life to serving you!" It explained. He couldn't help but feel uncomfortable with what this thing was telling them. He assumed this thing was made to take orders from humans, they probably planned to use it as a killing machine. The important part to him was that it wasn't going to murder him, so he once again relaxed.

"So uh... L-let me get this straight... You do.. What I-I say?" He asked, scratching the back of his head. It nodded.

"Precisely!" He couldn't help but smile at this, not because he could take advantage of this power he now wielded, but because he was talking to someone without them randomly losing interest in them. Just as he prepared to speak again, he realized Protogen was a lot closer then he was before, now resting his long muzzle on his head and purring softly. At least it seemed like they were, it sounded like they were somehow playing the sound of a purring kitten.

"What are you doing?" He asked. Instead of a straight forward answer they slithered their furry arm around his waist, nuzzling his head soon after.

"You sensed you were afraid of something, I am simply trying to calm you." They finally responded. It's tone was much more quiet and their voice was soft, trying to prevent Ghost fox from feeling any more sense of panic, and it was working very well. Although he wasn't much of a fan when it came to physical touch, he couldn't help but enjoy Protogens sudden embrace. He turned his body to face theirs and hugged it as if his life was in danger, he'd be squeezing the air out of them if they needed any. Protogen considered it as Ghost foxes way of accepting them as their lifetime servant, which was all they ever wanted since the day they were made into one. They slowly lifted their arm as not to startle the now tamed fox and pet their head, the one of their waist dragging them closer.

Sorry this one came sooner then all of the others, I'm losing the more earlier requested ones in the void.
