Mochi x Dagoda
It was a testy week in the cafeteria.
Mochi had gotten assigned once again by Sprinklekit to clean up the entirety of cafeteria and it was slightly angering the poor dragon. Newly welcomed and moved in gootraxians had randomly showed up somewhere around the facility and made themselves at home in the bathroom. Nobody except Mochi questioned the fact that they looked like an exact replica of Feizao and Fashui, who weren't very fond of having to share the bathroom with a presumed replacement. The duos were constantly at war with each other, their first meet wasn't much better compared to the ones they had now. It's like whenever they caught a short glimpse of one another it was an all out brawl for their survival. The more times they happened to run into each other the bigger the mess they would create. Mochi swore they had never seen the cafeteria in such a bad shape since they first emerged from a broken coffee machine, and even then the place was abandoned and a big wreck at the time.
So while Sprinklekit was tending to the hungry gootraxians and trying to cool the quarrel they had, Mochi was the last sane person to clean up after them. And that's what they were doing currently, tidying up the floors and rearranging the crates in the freezer whilst trying not to complain about it. This one time out of many experiences of cleaning was more peaceful then others. The freezer was such a quiet place, the only sound being the cooler loudly clattering around likely broken machinery that only added to the soft ambience. They've come to this area as an escape from the main cafeteria, this place was mostly active so the noise can get unbearable at times. They tried to put their stressful thoughts aside for now, purely focusing on their work and cherishing the time they had in there.
The peace could only last for so long though. It was rudely interrupted by the sounds of both entrances opening, welcoming in the sounds of numerous conversations occurring outside and the angered voices of those they knew all to well.
Before they knew it the figures of at least 4 people stormed inside and instantly began squabbling with each other, throwing insults and on a common instance, punches. Sprinklekit was quick to follow, pushing her self between them and trying their best to stop it. It was way to late for that, first it was yelling, then it was punching, and before you knew it they were to far gone to be stopped, completely tuning out any distractions just so they could pay full attention to a upcoming battle. Mochi didn't understand, they couldn't understand. How could things get this heated so quickly? And why were they so adamant on fighting with each other? Sprinklekit looked so much like Kitkat and the others when they first came and even they didn't insist on hating them as much as the fact they had gone. The noise became to elevated to ignore, eliciting a soft whimper of desperation from Mochi and forcing them behind the crates they had just organized. They knew the state of those crates didn't matter now, they were already on track to be destroyed and broken within seconds, all of their hard work had gone to waste.
The thought put them into a state of exhaustion. They knew that right after the battle had settled down and the soap goos went their separate ways, Sprinklekit would ask them to do it all over again without batting an eye at them. The work stressed them out, the noise scared them, and the thought of this being an endless war pissed them off. They sighed loudly before pulling their knees up to their chest and covering their ears with their overly sized paws, when that had no effect on the noise around them they wept softly and hoped nobody would notice them.
But someone in fact DID notice them.
It actually took Dagoda a while to realize that besides the soap squirrels, his relative, and the weird looking ice cream cat before him, they weren't alone in this room. The first time he heard it he was to busy to care. The next time he assumed it was his imagination, going on to absolutely maul Fashui's tail in an attempt to scare them off. And the last he couldn't help but stop paying mind to the crying, it had him completely distracted and earned him a few swipes to the muzzle but eventually curiosity got the better of him. He was able to avoid drawing any attention to him self as he lowered onto his fours and crept away from the raging group. Surely Glubby could fend them off for a little bit, right?
