Lanternshork x Mochi

My Wattpad is really messed up rn and I have no idea if I'm doing the requests in order. ;))

This ones a lil silly I guess

The gootraxians were sure that every known survivor were lurking around the flooded room, which they were. It was a heated war just after a recent power outage and they managed to follow their remaining numbers to the room. Initially it was supposed to be an ambush but it obviously failed due to the number of eyes they had on them the moment they walked through the automatic doors, now they were just staring at the goos and tempting each other to push forward.

Mochi only watched the aspiring chaos, being sure to lunge at any human who got to close to the shelf they stayed dormant on. It never actually got to that juncture. In spite of every single one of them armed with a deadly weapon and protected by hazmats none of them actually got as far as the staircase. They were making themselves an absolute laughing stock in front of the other goos. This slightly worried Mochi since they were terribly outnumbered, but they doubted that even out of spite they'd enter the shallow water.

They'd yawn obnoxiously loud to tease the humans who instantly snapped their fiery gaze towards them. The act must've triggered them because soon after there were bricks and other various items flying in their direction. They'd yelp in alarm and leap off of the shelf, finding coverage behind the metal bars. Before the survivors could gloat about it however the rest of the goos took advantage of the short moment they were distracted and rushed at them, instantly starting an all out brawl in and out of water. Some had just dragged a human or two into the water while others full on lunged at them. It was a bloody mess within seconds, drawing the attention of an unwanted presence still peacefully resting beneath the waters surface.

Mochi, as they were doing before, preserved with watching the others. It was finally getting interesting for them and satisfied their thirst for violence. They contemplated jumping in a few times but there were so many different fights going on at once it confused them as to which they actually wanted to interrupt. Mindlessly including themselves in something like that would probably get them killed. They quickly brushed the thought off however, deciding that observing was better then experimenting. They suddenly felt a presence join them, an unfamiliar one. At first they assumed it was another one of the goos and brushed their worries aside but as they looked on to the still chaotic battle they realized that all of them were or should have been outside of the water or at least in their line of view. They held their breath as they turned, trying to convince themselves it wasn't a human due to the fact they hadn't noticed any of them sneak past the battle, and it worked.

It was in fact a gootraxian, specifically Lanternshork. And he seemed just as interested in the battle as they did. Mochi didn't really know him all that much. They encountered a few times to have a bit of small talk so they assumed they were at least cool with each other, or they used to. They shrugged their shoulders and turned away from the shark, preferring to watch the fight then fantasize about Lanternshork. At first it was fine, they both kept a short distance from each other and eventually greeted one another after accidentally making eye contact. He walked away a few times to catch one of the humans off guard and yank them into the water but always returned beside them afterwards. He soon found him self staring at Mochi with a look of content, he was actually starting to get a little bored. The fight was boring, killing people was boring, and he couldn't go back to sleep with the constant noise. And boy did he want to. He kept on dozing off and leaning side to side in a fit of sleepiness every few seconds. Mochi caught notice of this but like with every other situation they have encountered today they ignored it for the sake of watching the fight progress.

This actually pissed him off, the fight was dragged as hell and they still had the audacity to look him in the eye and just do nothing. He didn't actually know what he wanted them to do about his tired stumbling and yawning, but he'd rather they do whatever they could do instead of ignore him. Lanternshork grumbled annoyingly, seeking the attention of the dragon, they didn't even blink. They actually seemed more invested in it which was the opposite of what he was looking for. Irritated, he slammed his tail into the water like a toddler throwing a fit. Mochi glared at him confused and the two made short eye contact. During it they caught notice of how suddenly angry Lanternshork was. He always looked angry, but this time he looked significantly angrier. He turned away from Mochi, acting as if he were mad at them.

"What's your problem?" They muttered with a hint of attitude. He heard it dragging their tone and growled.

"Nothing." He responded. He made it painfully obvious that it wasn't just 'nothing.' His tail lashed under the surface of the water, he consistently gave them mean glares, and he'd randomly snarl and pout for no reason. Mochi clearly didn't give a shit and took that response as 'I guess nothings wrong' when that clearly wasn't the case. Tired of trying to get their attention by whining about it instead of basic communication, he turned towards them and forced his head under their arms. He wondered why he hadn't done this before because he definitely had it now, Mochi making that recognizable by screaming profanities and repeatedly complaining that they couldn't see the fight.

"WHAT THE HELL LANTERN!" They shouted while flailing around erratically. He only mumbled incoherent words before making his fat ass comfortable like a god damn lap dog, which he certainly wasn't, Mochi was like half his size and the weight instantly caused them to fall over. This temporarily dazed him, he just sat laying on top of them until he realized that their head was under the surface and slightly pulled off of them. They were both confused and in rage as they breached, instantly turning their attention towards the big ass shark that was laying on their lap. He just stared right back at them as if he was completely oblivious to what he had done to earn such a spiteful gaze. What was once going to be a massive rant turned into Mochi stuttering and stumbling on all of their words while trying to express how currently angry they were. Lanternshork found this both admirable and amusing, completely ignoring the context to their words and gazing at them with a satisfied look on his face.

They took notice of this though, realizing that he wasn't listening to a word they were saying and giving up completely. They put both of their paws on his head and attempted to look over both him and the knocked down shelf in order to see the fight that was beginning to die down. Even though they saw the majority of it they still felt like they were missing the best parts before the end. Lanternshork remained unbothered. With Mochi constantly squirming and having their hands on his head it felt like a nice massage to his brain. He cooed softly, pushing his muzzle into their thin fur. They attempted to ignore him but it was kind of impossible since he was quite literally making a pillow out of his knees.

This continued on for some time before it got to the point the war had ended with the last few remaining humans retreating and both gootraxians peacefully falling asleep in each others arms.
