Lemonshork x Fed
I don't usually write about my OC's but I couldn't get this one thought out of my head.
It was night in the city, the rain was heavy and the thunder was louder then ever. It was crucially empty, it wasn't your everyday downtown streets.
The gootraxians of Laminax Facilities managed to make their escape during a fatal mass extinction event, the purification. It resulted in them eventually reaching the once populated city and reigning terror on the citizens, whether it were infection or death, they had no hesitancy when it came to confronting a human. Within an extended time period this was destined to change however. Very few humans had survived the attack and adapted to fighting for their survival, finding refuge in uncharted places of the city.
With the lack of humans roaming around the streets the gootraxians now live peacefully within it's remains but stay vigilant in case their are any more humans lurking about.
One large group were living as if they were in a similar situation as the humans. They didn't have a name but they were well known by both humans and other goos for having one of the biggest parties in terms of number. They lived in an apartment complex not far from the tallest buildings, each room being occupied by multiple gootraxians that each considered home, since they didn't have the means to find one place with so much open space. The founder was a VIP Fed named Brute. He stumbled upon the ruined area whilst searching for refuge for him and his small group of three and has been expanding both the complex and their numbers since.
He thought it'd be for the best that they gathered others, his team lacked numbers back then and they could only offer so much protection until they were exhausted from the endless fight. Recently it's been getting harder however, there was so much to keep track of. He was constantly being confronted about supplies, patrols, new recruits, even fights breaking out about the amount of space their was available in a single room. He was tired, and couldn't stop overworking himself, he put the needs of his colony before anything else.
Nights like these were good for him, the sound of rain being muffled out by the thick walls, the moon shining through his curtains, it was relaxing and the atmosphere had him constantly unwillingly falling asleep due to him avoiding it for so long, this time he just wasn't able to fight it. He put his second in command in charge for the rest of the night, locking himself in the comfort of his single person room, and practically passed out the moment his head hit the pillow. He didn't even care that he had fallen asleep with both his coat and fedora on, and he could care less that majority of his lower half was dangling off of the bed and barely supporting it self with his legs.
One goo did though, and it took advantage of the few seconds of rest he managed to get before it welcomed it self inside through his window. With both a sense of urgency and impatience, it quickly turned back towards the window it had just climbed into, shut it and locked it. It had a sly grin on it's face and it only widened when they noticed the male comfortably resting with half and half to the bed and ground.
It was a Lemonshork, and not just any ordinary Lemonshork. He was a stalker that creeped through people windows to thrive in his homosexuality...
He adjusted the many carriers he had strapped around his body to hold his numerous weapons and slowly made his way inside, his eyes never leaving the presence of Brute who was still sleeping peacefully. He wasn't one of his loyal subjects, he didn't even live within the complex. In fact he was forced to leave, his violent nature towards both humans and gootraxian alike leading Brute to order him to peacefully leave. Which he did, he didn't see any issue with doing so. He thought of them as weak minded followers who had completely wiped the thought of their descendants out of their mind. They didn't act like gootraxians, they acted like humans who didn't have the option of freedom, staying pent up in the complex by fear and desperation was no way to live, especially when there was so much more to do outside of that one area. He'd know, he's been all around this city without a single care in the world.
He didn't give him self any specific names, but the people within the complex he oh so despised called him Mace. He gladly took it considering they gave it to him for the pure sake of telling scary children's stories and painting him as a villain to those who have never confronted him.
He eventually got close enough to the point he was sitting on his knees right next to him, admiring him whilst holding back the urge to touch him for the time being. He didn't want to disturb his rest, he knew how much he needed it with running a daycare disguised as a well hidden band of skillfully trained gootraxians. At the same time he realized it may have been safer for him to be sleeping on the bed rather then the ground and attempted to wake him with a simple shake. He slowly slid his paw under his short hair that was covering his shoulder and lightly shook him, his wide grin quickly returning at the sounds of his weak protest.
"Rose~" He cooed, resting his head just beside him and continuing to admire him before he stirred awake, turning towards him with bags under his eyes and a confused frown that faded when he rubbed his eyes. Realizing who it was currently in his room and creepily staring at him with loving eyes he sighed, rolling onto his other side in order to turn his back to him.
"Mace." He greeted dryly. The other chuckled lowly, amused at his tone of voice.
"How'd you get in my room..?" He asked, finally seeming to realize he had both locked his door and closed his window and a fugitive still managed to slip their way inside. He laughed again, stroking his hair with a single paw.
"No need to worry about that." He said, soon remembering why he woke the canine in the first place. "Your sleeping on the ground." He added. Brute didn't need to take the time to realize that he was lying on the ground, he was well aware of that and simply crawled onto the bed with his pillow at his paw. He was surprised that even himself managed to make it all the way to the head board without passing out again but with a few pauses and brief wobbles he threw his pillow back onto his bed and fell into it face first, not bothering to pull the blanket over him or even face it in the right direction before he was fast asleep like before. Mace didn't even have time to stand up before the sound of light snores met his ears. He hummed happily, flopping down behind him and caressing his shoulder.
Despite the two almost being considered as rivals, they couldn't help but admit to each other that they had grown a liking to one another before Mace had gone. The goos at the complex assumed that they hated each other despite them never showing a negative attitude when they were together, even when Brute had made the final decision to send him away, he felt more sorrow and loneliness at the time the blank look on his face had them making assumptions. They couldn't get away from each other's presence and as a result would meet up every night when it was late. Although this wasn't scheduled, which was one of the main reasons why Brute was confused as to how Mace had gotten into the complex unnoticed. They'd usually spend the night talking or simply cuddling, but the canine was much more tired then any usual meet up and Mace knew he wouldn't be able to blink without dozing off. He wasn't tired at the moment and practically made it his mission to watch the other sleep the rest of the night.
He pulled him a bit closer to his chest, slowly taking the fedora off of his head and propping it on the nightstand before pulling him close enough to the point they collided. Mace let out a small purr at this, resting nuzzling the hair on his head and looking out towards the window once he caught the sound of his soft breathing. Something about the atmosphere of the room added on with the sound of Brute's breathing calmed him. It's not like they'd meet under the circumstances of complete chaos to the point he wouldn't be able to hear him catch his breath but knowing that he'd been overworking him self possibly moments before gave him the feeling this was a once in a lifetime opportunity. While still watching the small droplets of water race down the window he'd monitor it, feeling a small sense of relief every time he'd hear him let out one deep exhale after another. He maneuvered his paw down to his chest and rubbed slow and long circles around it, his muscles relaxing as if it were his own. He realized that Brute still had his coat on but found no point in waking him up again, he looked comfortable nonetheless.
He eventually lost interest in the rain and kissed him on his head, eliciting a small growl from the canine that could be considered a purr. That must be it right? His tail is wagging. He chuckled at his antics before dozing off, unintentionally falling asleep.
Something they would make sure not to do when Mace came over for visits.
