Dr. Singe was a loyal Sinox who'd given his professionalism and obedience for the humans approval. At least, he liked to call him self as such. Only "real" scientists were offered the utmost luxury of being called Doctor, especially those who actually had first and last names unlike Singe.

After the outbreak of the gootraxian species invading nearby cities and spreading the infection further then they ever could in the lab they were secluded in, Laminax had no real purpose nor intent for existence. They'd pretty much caused the whole apocalyptic catastrophe and stayed in hiding ever since, despite the lack of law enforcement available to punish them due to... OBVIOUS reasons..

They were like any other lonesome group simply striving for survival. Using their numbers to gather as much wealth as they could in terms of food, water, shelter, etc. They had a rather high advantage with the gear they managed to salvage admits the chaos of day one. Even with several raging fires, aggressive and dying citizens, power and murder hungry gootraxians, they still managed to save so much they were considered as a safe military zone you could run to whenever you needed assistance and shelter. With all of what they had to spare, people were sure they could rely on them to create a better future, the same people that created what was now the present.

They were wrong, and Singe sometimes wishes he could've interpreted it sooner.

Laminax Facilities turned a blind eye towards the people in need, especially those who couldn't be of use to them in return.

The counsel was set on experimenting with the parasitic goos to " find the source of the virus." Singe knew better, so did few others, they were obviously trying to save whatever they could of their research to, to simply continue where they'd left off as if the world wasn't in complete shambles. They captured several feral gootraxians, who were the opposite of Singe and acted like any other wild animal would, and got back to work.

Scientists and guards were back in their respective territory, down in the lab where they still felt they belonged. Very few gootraxians out of the thousands that escaped were back in a confined room and such else.

Singe was amongst that of scientist, but not in the way you'd think.

There are still "leftovers" that resided in abandoned labs that Laminax owned. People would go in every now and then to feed the gootrax that were left behind but that was the bare minimum of what was required for a decent living space for a damned parasite. Unsurprisingly, AFTER the world goes to shit, the management team now see use in them, one of the reasons being that they were still behind bars and they wouldn't have to chase them throughout town to secure them. The main lab was multiple in one with several different floors containing all types of different creatures.

There was only one other lab separate from them however, and rather far to. Traveling across the city to get to it seemed risky in it self, regardless of whether or not your using a helicopter or being guided there by ground support. They learned that after a Mochi flew it self into the propellers of a helicopter spectating the current state of the city, killing it self and everyone on board. Or that other time one launched it self through the cabin and took a soldier with it, ripping the poor dude apart right in front of his comrades and eating him whilst hovering in the air. Fed's putting bullet's through the heads of people driving company vehicles, Kaiju's setting people ablaze.

Hell, a Figs just found out yesterday that when you remove the heart of one species and replace it with that of another, it won't come back to life.

So to avoid another person having their organs violated and rearranged by a curious gootraxian. They trusted another gootraxian, one with intelligence similar to that of a humans, one who'd worked as a scientist since before the risk of a dragon snatching you from a helicopter was something people normalized.
