Moving In

When I walked out of the gate I noticed I was in what looked to be an abandoned warehouse, though if we're being honest it wasn't all that bad of a place. It was fairly cleaned up and looked like it's been lived in for years. "Welcome to the League of Villain's base!" Shigaraki said, turning to me with a smile.
I smirked at him, "Not too bad of a place you have here, Crusty. It's a lot better than my shitty apartment." I replied as I started looking around the room.
"Yeah well-" Shigaraki snapped to look at me, "Did you just call me Crusty?"
"Don't know what you're talking about, Boss. Now where am I putting my shit?" I asked as Shigaraki scowled at me.
"Follow me." Shigaraki sighed, though he never stopped glaring at me. I followed him down one of the halls, stopping at the door he led me to. "You'll stay here, you're right next to my room so behave."
Shigaraki opened the door and we walked inside. I placed the boxes down in the center of the room before looking around. There was a bed in the corner of the room along with a small dresser and a closet. "Decorate or whatever you wanna do to it, I don't care. Just make yourself at home." Shigaraki said before leaving the room.
I already knew I wasn't going to end up decorating the room or anything, it's not like I know how to make something feel like home anyway. When Shigaraki left I unpacked the couple boxes I had then threw myself onto the bed, it was surprisingly comfortable. I burried my head into the pillow, letting out a breath I didn't know I was holding in.
I turned my head to the side and stared at the blank wall. "This isn't all that bad, right?" I softly asked myself. "Maybe-" I instantly cut off the thought. There's no way I'd be able to have anything close to a family. I highly doubt somebody would want that kind of connection with me anyway. I closed my eyes, slowly drifting off as my body relaxed into the bed.
------------------------------------------
I woke up to knocking at my door. I forced myself off the bed and walked over, the door slamming open as I reached for the handle. I jumped back, barely avoiding the door, "What the hell dude?" I asked, seeing Shigaraki on the other side.
He shrugged, "You weren't answering the door. Anyway, Kurogiri told me to come get you. He made food." Shigaraki said before walking away.
"Kuro what?" I asked, quickly realizing I wasn't getting an answer. I sighed and started after Shigaraki.
When I got to the kitchen I saw Shigaraki sitting down at the table with someone that just looked like a purple and black mist. I think Shigaraki noticed my confusion, "This is Kurogiri, he basically raised me." Shigaraki explained.
I nodded and sat down next to Shigaraki. Kurogiri turned and looked at me, "I'm assuming you're Dabi. Shigaraki's mentioned you a couple times." Kurogiri said.
"He has?" I asked, slightly creeped out.
"I just told him I was scouting you and wanted you to join the league, that's all." Shigaraki replied, his eyes laser focused on the ground.
"I see." I said, turning to take the plate Kurogiri had handed me.
The second Shigaraki got his food he started eating but I just kind of sat there, starting down at the plate. "Something wrong? Kurogiri can make you something else if you don't like it." Shigaraki offered, looking at me in confusion.
"Ah no, it's fine." I replied, picking up my fork.
"You sure? You look off."
"I'm fine, don't worry about it." I told him as I picked at the food.
I helped Kurogiri clean up once we were done eating while Shigaraki went off to the living room. Once I finished helping Kurogiri I decided to join Shigaraki in the living room, figuring I might as well see if I can get to know him a little better. As I walked in I noticed him sitting on the floor, eyes glued to the tv's screen with a controller in his hands.
I threw myself onto the couch behind him, leaning back and watching him play whatever game he had on. I recognized it as Mario Kart, I used to play it with Natsuo whenever we had free time. It was actually a memory that I cherished, those moments with Natsuo were some of my best. When Shigaraki finished his race he turned back to me, "Want to play with me? I have a second controller."
"Yeah, sure." I replied, it's not like I had anything better to do.
Shigaraki's face lit up as I joined him on the floor. "Kurogiri never wants to play with me, I'm looking forward to beating you." He laughed as he handed me a controller, a slick smile on his face.
I smirked, "Oh, I'm not losing."
Shigaraki laughed again before picking the course, selecting what he said was his best. I changed the grip I had on the controller and got ready. When the countdown finished I took off, somehow passing Shigaraki right off the bat. Shigaraki scoffed before putting his entire focus into the game, I did the same. By the second lap I was still ahead of Shigaraki, though just barely.
He managed to pass me right as we got to the finish line, lauging at his success. After shortly celebrating his victory he moved onto the next course. I managed to beat him on the second course, though the next 2 he managed to pull ahead. Once we finished the 4 courses he moved on to pick another one.
We played a few more rounds before calling it quits. "You're actually pretty good at this, it makes it more fun. You should play with me more often." Shigaraki said, a smile on his face.
I felt my heart jump before I looked to the ground, "Y-Yeah, definetly." I replied before getting up to head to my room.
"Oh, before you go, we're going out to recruit tomorrow. I'll come wake you up when it's time to leave." Shigaraki called out before turning back to his console.
"Ok, g'night boss." I said before continuing to my room. When I got inside I went to the bathroom, feeling the need to shower. After showering I threw myself onto my bed, somehow managing to fall asleep not too long after.
