Worth Missing

The weeks leading up to the next mission went by fairly quickly. Hawks managed to finish all of the tasks that Tenko had assigned him so yesterday I had to meet up with him, telling him of today's mission and where he needs to be in order to help. If he ends up severely harming anybody from our side or doesn't do as I instructed him Tenko has decided that he won't be "helping" us any farther. Twice is going to be having a clone watching Hawks at all times, making sure that he does exactly as he was told.
When the league left to go to the front's headquarters I was a little sad that I wouldn't get to go help them, I know that Tenko probably will be too. Being on temporary leave sucks, but it does come with a few perks. Like the extra time that I get with Tenko and that I get to go to his appointments with him.
   As bummed as I am about skipping the mission, today was probably one of the more important appointments Tenko had. Once he's awake we get to go in and find out the twins' genders. Tenko and I have touched on what we thought they may be along with the idea of names, but we've never really gone full blown into conversation over it. Tenko had said that he wanted to wait until he knew their genders to talk about names.
Since I knew Tenko probably wouldn't get up on his own for a while, I decided to be the amazing boyfriend that I am and cook him food for when he wakes up. Or wake him up with food, whichever comes first. I carefully climbed out of bed, making sure I didn't end up waking Tenko. Once I was in the clear I made my way to the kitchen, taking into account his latest cravings as I gathered the ingredients for what I wanted to make him.
   As I finished the last of the cooking I heard footsteps, turning around to see Tenko walking into the kitchen. "Had to wake up before I finished, huh?" I asked as he rested his head against my back.
   "They started kicking me, of course I woke up. Shit's kind of hard to ignore." Tenko replied.
I turned around, cupping his cheek and lifting his head up before gently moving his hair out of his face and pulling him into a kiss. "Go sit down love, the food's almost done." Tenko listened and went over to the kitchen table, resting his head on it the second he sat down.
   Once I finished cooking I plated everything and brought it over to the table. After I sat everything down Tenko grabbed onto my shirt and pulled me down, bringing his lips to mine. "Thank you for taking care of me." He said, letting me go.
   "I'm always more than happy to." I replied, caressing his cheek as I took my place next to him.
After eating Tenko contacted Kurogiri to open a warp gate for us seeing as he was off with the front on that mission. A few seconds later a gate appeared in the living room, Tenko and I going through it not too long after.
The doctor was already waiting for us when we got there, instantly taking us to the room he'd been using for Tenko's ultrasounds. The doctor did his usual taking us to the room then leaving to grab the equipment, though it still doesn't make sense to me why he doesn't just leave it in here at this point.
   When the doctor came back he got right into the ultrasound, prepping everything and then turning on the machine. "Everything still looks to be going really well, I'm almost impressed. You're pretty small for how far you are, but I don't think think that's anything to worry about. The twins are healthy, that's all that matters. Moving on, you guys wanted to know their genders, correct?"
   "Yeah, if possible." Tenko replied.
   The doctor nodded, adjusting his glasses and taking a close look at the monitor, ever so slightly moving the wand on Tenko's stomach. "If I'm seeing everything correctly, which I'm 99% sure I am, they're both boys."
"I don't know if I should be happy or not about that." Tenko mumbled.
The doctor finished up the last couple things he had to do before turning to Tenko, a serious look growing onto his face. "Now Tomura, for these last 3 months I'm going to need you to start coming in weekly. A lot of twin pregnancies can become high risk towards the end so I want to be able to keep a good eye on you and the boys just in case something ends up happening. If you start feeling even the slightest thing out of the ordinary contact me so I can see you as quickly as possible. Got it?"
Tenko's face looked worried, "Yes doctor." He said, the doctor nodding and giving us the ok to go back to base.

   After being back for a couple hours Tenko had barely moved. The second he got back he crawled into my bed, holding his arms around his abdomen like if he moved them something would happen to the twins. He was lying down with his back against me. I had one of my hands resting on his stomach and could feel that the twins were moving slightly more than usual.
"What's wrong, Tenko? You've been like this for hours." I finally asked, just wanting to know what's bothering him.
He stayed quiet for a little while before answering, "I'm scared Touya. Like, more scared than I've been this entire time. What the doctor said- What if I end up messing up or doing something and it ends up hurting or killing them?" Tenko replied, his head down the entire time.
I carefully turned him over so he was facing me, lifting his head up so he was looking directly at me. "They've been alright this entire time, yeah? Now isn't the time to be stressing out over that stuff. You're almost at the end, right now you need to remain as relaxed and level headed as possible. Stressing yourself out over the what ifs isn't going to help any. Just let me continue to take care of you and everything'll be fine."
Tears started to slowly fall down Tenko's face as he gripped onto my shirt buried his head into the crook of my neck. "I'm sorry."
I wrapped my arms around him, "Don't apologize love, you've only done everything right so far."
   "I don't deserve you." Tenko replied, his grip loosening.
   I smiled as I softly rubbed his back, "Just rest for now love, let me take care of everything else." I said as Tenko slowly started to fall asleep in my arms.
