True Identities

"I'll start, yeah?" I suggested, Tomura fully sitting on the bed while nodding his head and giving me his full attention. "My real name is Touya Todoroki, as in Endeavor's son. Endeavor forced my mom into a marriage because he wanted to be able to have an unbeatable child, a kid with his fire and her ice. I was the first born and obviously, I didn't work out the way he wanted. I have the body of an ice user and a flame quirk so using my quirk burns my skin, which is why I have all of these scars.
   Endeavor didn't wait to find out if I was a failure or not, the next year my little sister was born, then the following my first brother. The year after him my youngest sibling was born, and he just so happened to be the one to fulfill Endeavor's wishes. In the time that my youngest brother was growing up to be able to use his quirk, Endeavor trained me relentlessly since I was the oldest. Day in and day out he would train me to the point I was passing out and already getting covered in burns, even though I was still really young.
   The day that it was discovered that my brother had ice and fire I was outcasted, my mom and Endeavor saying that I should stop training and give up on my dreams of being a hero, that it was too dangerous and I shouldn't keep going. I accepted this for a little while until I realized that just because I wasn't training anymore doesn't mean the abuse would stop. I put up with it until I couldn't take it anymore and ran away from home.
   When I ran away I started to make a living for myself in the streets, though there was a time that I practically burned myself alive with my quirk. I was sent to the hospital, was given skin grafts, then was thrown right back out onto the streets. I made my living by selling anything I could, that included my body. It wasn't the best situation but it kept me alive. Did that stuff for a few years and then I met you, you know the rest." I said, giving Tomura a forced smile.
"That's why you want to kill Endeavor, right? And why you wanted to protect Shoto at the training camp?" Tomura asked.
I nodded, "As much as I hate Endeavor, I can't really hate my siblings. They haven't done anything wrong."
Tomura looked up at me and took a deep breath. "I guess that makes it my turn, huh?" Tomura took my hand before starting. "I didn't remember my past until that fight with the Liberation Army so this is all kind of a reality strike for me. Growing up my dad was also fairly abusive. I wanted to be a hero and he was completely against it because my grandma was a hero. My real name is Tenko Shimura, grandson of Nana Shimura who just so happened to be All Might's mentor. I only know this because master told me before he went to Tartarus.
Anyway, despite heroes not being allowed at home me and my sister would always go out with our freinds to play heroes, her telling me that once I had my quirk I'd be able to be the best hero around. My mom and grandparents were pretty supportive of me I guess, though they never stopped my dad from hitting me or locking me outside for the night.
The night I got my quirk was when my life really went to shit. My sister showed me a picture of my grandma and my dad found out, my sister ended up putting all the blame on me. My dad locked me outside with the dog as punishment. I was sitting against a gate petting him when my quirk activated. I disintigrated him right then and there, scared and unaware of what I had just done. My sister came out minutes later to apologize.
I reached out to her, my mind was racing and I just wanted to know what was happening. I touched her and ended up disintigrating her aswell, though this time the ground began to crack underneath me. My mom and grandparents ran out not long after that, I'm sure you can guess what happened. My mom attempted to hug me as she disintigrated but it wasn't much use as she was dust by the time she reached me.
By the time my dad came outside I knew what I was doing. He hit me in the lip with something as I ran towards him but I didn't focus on that, my only focus was killing him aswell. I succeeded and brought the entire house down with him. After that I took to the streets, hoping that somebody, literally anybody would help me. Nobody did, they just kept telling me a hero would come by and save me.
I went underneath a bridge when I realized that nobody would help me and that's where master found me. He took me in and raised me to be his perfect successor and killing machine, presenting me with the 'gift' of my family's hands. I kind of resent the man if we're being honest here. I basically went from one abusive guy to another, but what're ya gonna do, you know? A couple years ago I decided to start the league and scouted for new members. I caught you using your quirk at some point in time and decided on getting you on my side. And like you said, you know the rest." Tomura finished, flashing me the same fake smile I gave him.
I laughed, "I guess we're both pretty fucked up, huh?"
Tomura joined in, "Yeah, we really are. At least we get to be fucked up together though, yeah?"
"Yeah." I said, moving next to him and wrapping my arm around him. "One thing's for sure though, I refuse to fuck up this child. They'll have a good life, even if neither of us have any idea as to what the hell we're doing."
Tomura nodded, "No matter what. I don't want to be the kind of man my dad was, Dabi. I don't want to be like master either."
"Call me Touya, ok? I want you to be the only person to use that name." I said as I pressed a kiss to the side of his head.
"If that's the case then just call me Tenko. It wouldn't be so bad to have someone use my real name instead of the name master gave me."
"Understood. Then let's do this thing. We're going to be better fathers than our dads ever were. Even if we have to figure things out as we go, we're going to be able to do this." I said, holding Tenko close.
"Yeah, we've got this. Everything's going to work out fine, I'm sure of it."
