Chapter 18 / Gathering × of × Heroes

It's been about a month since you've gotten home from Heaven's Arena. You been have been training Midnight with Prince, he's been such a big help. She knows basically all the commands Prince knows for her own safety as well as Prince's and your safety. Midnight is now fully vaccinated so she can go out with you and Prince. She seem very intelligent like Prince, Prince has even taught her how to speak like him.

Hisoka said he's going to a bit busy with work and when you asked him if it was the the Phantom Troupe, he just simply responded with a yes, you found that he's personally not going with the rest of the Troupe members to the Yorknew auction but he does have to stay at their hideout. You watch Hisoka leave your house in his new outfit that you helped pick out, you're now left alone with Illumi.

"Alrighty then! What are we going to do today-" Before you can even finish your sentence, Illumi cuts in," Actually I have to go for a bit so you'll have to stay here where it's safe, okay?" You pout slightly and nod before he kisses your head and leaves too. You're just left in the house alone with Prince and Midnight. You look behind you to see your two babies sleeping next to each other, you sigh.

This past week you have been on edge for no reason, anxiety bursting through you at night, you get lost in thought when you suddenly hear your phone ringing in your room. For some reason, your heart is pounding like no tomorrow, you feel like something's going to happen when you pick up your phone. You shoo away the feeling and pick up your phone and it's an unknown number, you answer.

"Hello?"

"Hello, this Anna from XXXX Hospital, can I speak to the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. (L/n), (Y/n)?" Your heart immediately drops, your hands start shaking and you start freaking out a bit.

"Y-yeah this is (Y/n), did something happen to my parents?" You manage to say. The woman sighs over the phone and continues talking," If you are driving, please pull over and if you're standing please sit down.."

'Oh my god... Please God no..'

You sit down and start tearing up,"What happened to my parents?! Are they okay?" You see Prince slowly come into your room looking worried. "Ma'am, are you sitting down? Or pulled over?" You freak out more that she's not telling you. "Yes! I am sitting down! Are my parents okay!?" You hear her sigh again.

"... I'm sorry ma'am but your parents are dead..-" You immediately burst into tears and scream cry. "No-no-no-no they can't be dead!"

You've been crying for the past hour straight while Prince and Midnight try and console you but it's no help, you were told to go to the hospital where your parents were but can't bring yourself to calm down. After a couple more minutes, you have your personal drive you, Prince and Midnight to the hospital since Illumi still wasn't back.

You check in with the front desk and there's a couple of police officers there talking to the nurses, they notice you come in, one of them walk up to you, "Hello, you must be the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. (L/n), (Y/n), my name is Officer Charlie, we have some questions regarding your parents.." You nod and follow the officer, you stand outside of your parent's hospital rooms, you try your best to keep collected and calm.

He asks you a couple of questions and then he asks something that stands out to you from the rest..

"Did your parents have any enemies? Anyone that they may of gotten upset?" You look at the officer with a concerned look on your face. "No but do you think my parents were... Murdered?" The thought of it made you feel this burning feeling deep in your chest.. Rage.. You start to feel slightly dizzy from the feeling, Prince and Midnight look up at you sensing something is wrong.
