------------------------------------------------------- Mr. Satotz speaks up, breaking the silence, "Now everyone, please make sure to follow close behind me."
Quite a bit of people are panting as this point but some applicants such as Gittarackur who has an unusually big grin on his face so you decide to tease him about it.
You smirk mischievously and look up at him, "You have fun there bud?" Hisoka looks at you confused and Gittarackur just looks down at you with that same wide smile making you shiver.
"What did you say?"
"Hehe- nevermind.." You decided not to pick a fight with the freakishly tall pin-head.
You continue to run with the other applicants for a while. Every once in a while you hear a cawing noise from above.
'The fog seems to be getting thicker..'
"Prince. Close-in." You say seriously to Prince.
His body rubs against your side as you both run and you get closer to Hisoka.
"Mm?~ What's this little fruit? Wanting to get closer to me?~" He says while looking down at you and smirking.
"Shut the fuck up, I just don't want to get lost.." You pout slightly at his words.
"The fog is getting thicker as we go," Kurapika points out as he and Leorio run behind you, Hisoka and Prince.
"Guys, here's our chance," says in a hushed tone. Your attention and hearing is immediately on man near by.
"I say we take advantage of the fog and get rid of him."
You tense up a lot knowing that the men are more likey talking about Hisoka cause we are right in front of them since Kurapika and Leorio ran to the side, away from us.
Prince felt the tension and looked up at you, he pushed his head under your hand and started purring.
"Not right now baby.." You whisper to Prince who looks kinda sad but understands.
The men who were talking behind you are now running beside you and Hisoka. You're running on Hisoka's left so he's between you and those men.
"Hey, Leorio! Kurapika! Killua says we should all move up to the front of the pack," You hear Gon call out loudly.
"Hey, calm down, don't you feel the tension in the air?" Killua responds.
"You idiot! If I could reach the front I'd already be there!"
"Go ahead, we'll meet you there!"
"Aww.." Gon says with disappointment.
"Come on. Let's go!" Killua tells Gon before running quicker. "Wait, hold on!" Gon says as he runs quicker to catch up with Killua.
You continue to run close by Hisoka and Gittarackur. You start to feel very uncomfortable with looks you're getting from the men who you assume want to try and take out Hisoka.
From what you have seen from Hisoka, it would be safe to assume that Hisoka is very strong and could take on a fight with several people and win.. But the stares from the men make you very uncomfortable.
Hisoka notices what's happening and immediately is pissed off but speaks to you in a soft tone, "My little fruit~ Can you go with Gittarackur? I have to take care of some business~"
"Gittarackur you wouldn't mind taking my little fruit to the Second Phase of the exam, would you?~" Hisoka looks at Gittarackur with a very serious look making you shiver.
"Not at all," Gittarackur responds before looking down at you, "Let's go Y/n"
You look up at Hisoka once last time before running next to Gittarackur, "Alright.."
~10 minutes go by~
You, Gittarackur, and Prince are all alone now but you guys continue to run.
"Are we lost?"
"No and actually we're almost there. Speaking of which, I need to tell Hisoka"
"How-" Gittarackur pulls out a walkie-talkie and speaks to it.
"Hisoka. You should get back here. We're almost reached the site of the Second Phase."
You hear Hisoka sigh and respond,"Okay, be right there."
Just as Gittarackur puts away his walkie-talkie we arrive at a big wall and the fog starts to lift. You sit at the end of a tree stump and sigh.
Prince immediately comes up and snuggles into your lap, you chuckle. "Well hello to you too handsome, you hungry or thirsty? I got your food and water with me"
Prince immediately perks up and gets excited as you pull out his water dish and food. You hand him his steak and you start to pour his water into his bowl while he eats his food.
You pull out some jelly beans in a bag and starts to munch on them while Prince is munching down on his food and drinking his water.
You notice Hisoka put a beat up Leorio on a tree stump and walk over to you and Gittarackur. You smiled excitedly seeing he made it back okay.
"Hi Hisoka!" You smile up at him happily as he sits next you on your right and Gittarackur sits on your left.
"Hello my little fruit~ You seem extra happy. Did you miss daddy?~" Your smile immediately disappears and you glare it him.
"1st of all, don't call yourself 'dAdDy', 2nd of all way to ruin the moment and lastly, no I didn't miss you, I was just happy to see you made you made it back okay."
"Mmm~ My, my little fruit~ You don't know so I'll give you a little warning.. I do not tolerate back talk~ So the next time you talk back like that, I will have no choice but punish you~ Is that clear darling?~"
A bright shade of pink flashes across your cheeks.
"I-.. You know what- sure. Also how do you feel this comfortable talking about that when Gittarackur is deadass not even 2 feet away?" You look at Gittarackur who is chuckling with his robot voice.
Hisoka fake pouts, "I just have no shame darling~"
"I can see that darling~" You mock back at him with a smirk.
You finish up your food and water just as prince finished his, you grab his water dish and shake out any remaining water that be left in it and put it in your backpack.
