Chapter 5 / A × Surprising × Challenge

Hisoka glares at you slightly while you smile at him, "Oh don't look at me like that, you know I'm just messing with you~"

He look in front of him and stands up, you look up at him, "Hey where-"

You were cut off by a quick feel of bloodlust, you look at Hisoka's smiling face before looking at where he was looking, it was Gon.

Hisoka points at a tree close to ours, a very badly beaten up Leorio sits under the tree.

"Leorio!" Gon says before Kurapika and him jog over to Leorio.

"Gawd damn.." You stand up next to Hisoka, Gittarackur gets up as well "Who beat up Leorio?" You look up at Hisoka who is grinning widely.

"Aren't you a curious little fruit~"

You immediately knew the way Hisoka was grinning and what he said, it was safe to assume Hisoka beat up Leorio.

"Why did you beat him up?" You ask Hisoka while looking back at Leorio who is getting treated by Kurapika.

Before Hisoka could respond Mr. Satotz started speaking, "Excellent work, everyone! The Second Phase will take place here in the Visca Forest Park. So I shall now take my leave. I wish you all the very best of luck."

As Mr. Satotz walks off, you pout slightly.

'I hope we see him again, he seemed really cool..'

As most of the applicants watch Mr. Satotz walk off into the forest, a gate that's connected to the wall starts to rumble.

You and all the other applicants look over to the now opened wall. You can't really see what's in there due to mostly everyone being taller than you.

You try and stand on your tippy toes to see over everyone's shoulders. Hisoka chuckles at you struggling to see in.

"Having a bit of trouble dear?~"

You glare at him slightly before hearing a female's voice.

"Will all of the applicants who passed the First Phase please enter?"

Everyone starts to walk into the large area. Once most people start to spread out into the yard, you finally see the female who spoke.

She had a quite revealing outfit with bright blue hair, she was really cute. She was sitting on a chair while a very large man sat behind her.

He had a long sleeve yellow shirt on with some dark pants on. He had dark hair with thick eye brows.

"Welcome all! I'm Menchi, your examiner for the Second Phase."

You hear a male voice right after Menchi speaks.

"And likewise, I'm Buhara."

Everyone stays quiet for a second, not knowing what to do or say. That silence doesn't stay for long due to getting broken by a loud stomach growl.

'Damn, who's that hungry at this time?'

The crowd starts to whisper among themselves.

Menchi turns her head to look at Buhara, "Sounds to me like you're getting hungry"

"Not just hungry, I'm famished!"

'That was his stomach?!'

"Well, there you have it. The Second Phase...

Will be cooking!"

'Ah shit, here is where I fail, I suck at cooking!'

"Wait... We're cooking?" You hear the ninja speak.
