Chapter 39 / Defeat × and × Reunion

Flashing lights blared in your face from left, right, and center. Paparazzi surrounded you while Hisoka walked right behind you and body guards tried moving the paparazzi out of the way. Swiftly walking into the building you sigh with relief before getting in the elevator to the top floor where Beans waited patiently for you.

"Nice to see you, Y/n.."

Beans greets and bows to you immediately when the elevator doors open. He looks at Hisoka and holds his hand out towards him," Welcome to the Hunter Association, Mr. Morow, it's nice to see you again." Hisoka cocks his eye brow curiously but takes Bean's hand politely and shakes it before Beans looks at you.

"The meeting room is this way, if you would please follow me," Beans bows again before turning around and you and Hisoka follow quickly behind. "So who's all at this meeting Beans?" You ask him, both of you not looking at each other but instead looking straight ahead as you all walk to the meeting room.

"I will of course be there but all of the Zodiacs are going to be there.. You know Y/n, you don't have to completely step down from Chairman, you can have an election for one of the Zodiacs as a co-owner, if you will, they almost take on the exact same role as you but you have the ultimate say in things."

"Hm.." You get lost in thought for a moment, not realizing that we were already in the meeting room. Your face goes serious as soon as you make eye contact with the one and only Ging Freecss, he starts to sweat slightly knowing he's probably gonna hear it from you later about his son.

All of the Zodiacs stand up, including Ging which shocked you slightly but you didn't let it show on your face. With a Hisoka protectively walking right behind you, you walk over to the meeting table where all the Zodiacs once sat. You sigh briefly before speaking.

"Let's get this over with, you all may be seated.."

After several hours of debate and arguments between everyone, you came to a conclusion on what you wanted to do which caused more arguments to break out.

You groan as you throw your head back into your chair from the pounding migraine from all the yelling everyone and you have been doing. All you could hear was Ging's bickering with Kanzai about how he was the stupid one here.

"QUIET!"

You finally snapped making the whole room immediately silent from the loud boom of your voice. Hisoka looks at you surprised and shocked before smirking slightly knowing we're about to leave. Everyone's head's snap towards you, shocked and slightly concerned emotions wiped all over their faces.

"I've about fucking had it with all this yelling. My decision is already made, if you don't like that I'm going to be the next chairman and one of you are going to be the co-owner, you can get the fuck out now.." You say darkly, no one moves a muscle making you scoff and chuckle.

"That's what I thought.. Beans, hold an election for all of this, you got this handled right?" You say surprisingly calm to Beans as you look over to him, he snaps out of his thoughts before nodding and bowing to you.

"Y-Yes, Ms. Chairman.."

You get up quickly and immediately all the Zodiacs follow suit," Good, I'm leaving now, I'm leaving you in charge of all of this for now, call me if anything goes terrible. Bye, Beans. Let's go, Hisoka.."

You turn around swiftly and start walking out but Ging runs up towards you. "What is it, Ging?" Hisoka watches Ging carefully and intensely as Ging walks with you both out of the meeting room. "Can we talk for a moment?" You cock your eyebrow slightly, looking at him confused from the sudden urgency in his voice. "Sure, talk. What's wrong?"
