Chapter 21 / Fortunes × Aren't × Right

"Hey, what's going on outside?!"

"I can hear explosions nearby!"

"When will the auction start?"

"Explain what's going on."

They're right, something's going on outside, there's been non stop noises of gun shots and explosions near the site for the past hour. Everyone seems to be on edge in their own world but suddenly you see someone familiar walk by. It's Kurapika! You quickly get up from your seat leaving everyone in curiosity why you got up and left. "Kurapika!" He quickly looks at you shocked. "Y-Y/n? What are you doing here?! It's too dangerous-"

"Hey I'm okay, I'm with some friends of mine- What are you doing here, are you okay?" Kurapika sighs and nods," I'm fine, I just need you to get out of here while you still can, I have to go now but here-" Kurapika gives you his number quickly,"Text me when you get out of here safely.." You nod and you both hug for a brief moment before he walks away.

You have to find out where the safest area is to be you also want to find Silva or Zeno, you want to know what's going on and why.

You walk over to one of the young guys who were trying to answer the member's questions,"Hi- sorry to interrupt but where's the bathroom?" You smile politely and bow to one of the guys who were asking questions. He just nods, understanding why you interrupted him and his friend. Right before he's able to respond there's a loud sound of glass shattering is heard throughout the room. There's lots of yelling and you start to get more and more anxious, the louder it gets.

Suddenly there's a loud boom sound, everyone looks up to two men standing on an upstairs area. The man on the right has long blonde hair with a purple and white outfit on, he looks to be maybe in his 30's or 40's but the man on his left, looks much older, his hands are behind his back and he's slightly slouched over with white hair.

"My name is Zeno Zoldyck," The older man says. Your heart skips a beat while you stare at him in shock. Zeno is looking directly at you. It's making you nervous.

"At the moment, one bandit has infiltrated this building. He has killed a number of the assassins that your people hired.. Even if you were fully armed, it would take me less than seven seconds to kill the lot of you. The enemy is capable of a similar feat. If you understand, shut up and wait. It's a different story if you want to die..."

You assume who was Silva stares deep into your souls while you stare back, he bobs his head to the side, motioning you to come up to where they are at. You gulp and nod nervously before walking up the stairs where they both were. "Follow us please miss Y/n," Zeno says in a softer tone while looking at you. You follow close behind Zeno while Silva walks behind you.

You all walk in silence before reaching a dead man on the floor, leaned against a wall. Silva stares at the dead guy for a moment before Zeno speaks up. "Well?" Silva immediately starts speaking with a deep and husky but smooth and serious tone.

"A single strike from behind. Impressive.. His presence was exposed for a brief instant, and barely any trace remains.." Zeno walks closer to Silva and hums quietly. "I suppose I'll have to use En. It's an exhausting technique.." You perk up and clear your voice, Zeno and Silva look at you with curiosity. "If you want, I can help" You say while looking at the two. Zeno nods in agreement before you three walk to a large stair case and Zeno starts speaking again.

"Let's start from the roof and head down... Also, Y/n, you can call me grandpa or grandpa Zeno, okay? I've heard a lot about you from Illumi.." Zeno says while looking at you, you blush hard and nod,"Ah!~ Has he? I didn't think he would~" Zeno tilts his head while Silva eyes you carefully. "Hm? Why not?" You shrug your answer while you walk with the two men towards the elevator. "I'm not too sure.. I didn't even know that he's thought of marrying me, he called me Mrs. Zoldyck yesterday, you know" You blush more and smile widely thinking back to the interaction, Zeno and Silva notice this. Silva is taken aback to see the way you react while thinking of his son Illumi. Zeno on the hand is proud of his grandson to find such a beautiful woman.
