Chapter 25 / A × Hard × Master

You look around your room for any sign of another person. You decided to go home for a little bit while Hisoka plays Greed Island. There's a feint sound of three male voices, it sounded like Jay was on the phone with Illumi while every once in a while, Prince chimed into the conversation. Quickly you change your clothes into some cleaner ones before walking out of your room. You peek out of the hallway and into the living room, immediately Prince notices you and runs over Jay's lap making him groan in pain.

Prince tackles you and starts rubbing his face all over yours making you laugh loudly. "Prince!!~ I know, I know, I've missed you too handsome!!" Eventually, Prince gets off and let's you stand up but clings to your side like he did in the Hunter Exam. "Hey! Is that Illumi on the phone?" Jay nods and you smile excitedly before quickly sitting in his lap and grabbing his phone.

"Hey Daddy~" Jay groans and rolls his eyes before wrapping one of his arms around your waist so you don't fall.

"Hi my dear, did you already finish the game?"

"No but Hisoka is going to play alone for a bit while I hangout at home for a minute"

"Are you doing okay? Did you get into any fights?" A slight of hint of worry leaks into his smooth luring voice.

"Oh I'm fine, just- Hisoka had me traded off to these group of guys and-" Jay's grip tightens on you but not enough to hurt you while Illumi cuts you off.

"He did what now..?"

"You didn't let me get to finish! It was for some information-"

"Baby, you do realize that does not make things any better right? In fact it makes it worse.." Your heart pounds loudly in your chest and your stomach gets butterflies when he calls you baby, it's new and different but not a bad difference, just feels weird.

"Okay- but he whispered to me that he would make sure nothing happened and he did! After I finally was able to go with him we decided for a break already, the game is a little boring but that's why I came home for the time being!"

You hear him sigh before you hear his door open and you hear a older male voice in the back," Illumi? Who are you on the phone with?" His phone is snatched up by the older man when hearing your name. "Hello dear!~ How are you doing? Is my grandson treating you alright?" It's Illumi's Grandfather, Zeno.

"Hi grandpa!~ I'm doing good! And yes~ He's treating me very well!!~ How are you?" Zeno chuckles at your name for him before continuing talking with you. "Ah! That's very good, I am doing well, thank you for asking, please come and visit us while you get the chance alright? Mrs. Zoldyck wants to meet you!" You tense up at hearing Illumi's mother's name be said but you force a smile and giggle. "Of course! Of course! Bye bye now, grandpa!"

"Bye dear!" Grandpa Zeno is heard leaving Illumi alone before Illumi sighs. "Sorry about that, he seems to really like you" You giggle at his apology," It's okay!~ Text me okay? Here Jay-" He grabs the phone from you but before he gets back to his conversation, he covers the phone mic before whispering to you," Hey, I got a couple friends coming over, is that okay?" You eye smile and him before nodding and getting off of his lap.

You decide to take a shower so you're not all dirty still from the game. After about 20 minutes, you come out of the shower and immediately greeted from laughs from the living room.

'Oh? Are they already here?'

Prince and Midnight greet you at the front of your door as soon as you open it, you pet both their heads and whisper to them," Hey babes..~ Let's go meet some friends of Jay's, huh?" Prince and Midnight end up staying in your room because it was getting a bit late and they were tired. As you walk through the hallways, you're greeted by the smell of different men colognes, it isn't strong but it's noticable. You smile shyly as you walk into the living room while looking at Jay while his friends has their back's turned.
