Chapter 30 / Gong's Friends × and × True Friends

It's been over a week since you left Greed Island and Hisoka again but Illumi didn't like that you would just be at home with only Jay and Prince to look after you so he sent some Butlers to come get you. Jay didn't mind looking after Midnight and Prince due to him getting attached to them but Prince didn't want to be separated from you anymore so you're bringing him with you.

It was a 2 day plane trip from your house to The Zoldyck family mansion. You were finally standing in front of the massive "Testing Gate" with three butlers Illumi sent for you on your left and Prince on your right. "So I just got to push it open?" The older looking butler with glasses just nods before you walk up to it casually.

You could open it all the way if you really wanted to but you didn't want to use a lot of strength.

'What's the problem of showing off a little bit?'

You smirk as you place your hands on the large Testing gate and with only using half of your full power, it opens almost all the way, only leaving one last part of the gate closed. You sigh in relief at your power while the butlers seem impressed. "Oh yeah!~ I still got it!" You do a little happy dance as the guard that was sitting out front walks you, Prince and the Butlers within the gates.

"Do you like animals?" You smile brightly and nod before pointing over to Prince. "Clearly-!" We all stop to a rustling noise in the forested area within the estate. "I would like you to meet Mike." A large looking wolf-dog thing with almost human looking hands emerges from the trees. Your eyes shimmer with excitement and a slight bit of fear from the absolutely size of Mike.

Mike makes eye contact with you before sitting down and laying his head down on his "paws" inching closer to you. You look up at the guard with curiosity and excitement," Can- Can I pet him?" The guard furrows his eyebrows at your reaction to Mike, usually people are scared of Mike and Mike doesn't care for people an all too much.

"This is interesting indeed.. See, Mike is a machine, only going off of orders from Master Silva since day one and usually right now he would be memorizing your face, your scent, your heart beat but Mike seems to already recognize you so I don't see why you can't pet him," The guard says before you slowly walk towards Mike making his head perk up.

"Hi Mike, I'm Y/n-" You put your hand out to pet his paw but he immediately puts his massive head into the palm of your hand. His dark fur seems to shimmer at your touch and you're flooded with seemingly.. memories?

-Memory-

"Come on Buddy! I'll be okay! I'll only be gone for a couple hours!" Mike shakes his head with a worried expression on his face.

Mike knew you were gone for too long and he knew he should have come with you when he saw you on the ground dead. He just curled up next to your body silently wondering when you would wake up again.

-Next memory-

"Mike!~ Come play with me! I'm bored!!" You pout playful while trying to climb on top of him, he helps you onto his back before he starts going for a walk with you just relaxing on his back. "Mike? Do you think we'll be together in the next life too?" Mike looks back at you curiously before nodding. "Of course we would! What am I thinking?" You curl up into Mike's soft fur, soaking up the warm skin into your skin, now feeling sleepy.

"I love you Mike.. I don't know what I would do without you buddy..~" You say softly while drifting off to sleep.

-Back to reality-

"Y/n-? Is she okay-?" The guards snap you out of the memories. It hits you harder than anything you have ever felt, tears threaten to spill down your face. "M-mike.. My Guardian from all of my past lives and future lives.. Is it really you?" Your eyes lock with his again making a tear drop down your cheek, immediately you hug him as tight as you can, he puts his paw on your back, pulling you in more. You sob into his fur.
