Your smile is bright like the hues of autumn,
Your presence calming like the falling leaves,
You warm my soul like scarves and coats,
I miss you dearly when autumn leaves,
I'm blushing red and beaming yellow,
You're grinning orange and home-bound brown,
When we're together I can't stop smiling,
Dreams seem more possible with you around,
But autumn doesn't last forever,
The trees will have to lose their leaves,
When winter comes and the cold seeps in,
My hope is that we could please
Learn a little bit more about each other,
The beautiful hues and forlorn ones too,
Ski and skate and have adventures,
Whichever is fine, so long as it's with you,
I hope you don't grow tired of me,
I hope we don't sink to the bottom,
I'm inexplicably comfortable with you,
I've fallen in love with autumn.
