Behind every beautiful rainbow,
Once existed a great storm,
You know that—you told me yourself—
Yet you still fret about appearing perfect
To me, with bold, brilliant colors.
But whether there's a pot of gold
At the end of your rainbow,
Or nothing at all,
I will love you just the same.
You can't hide the scent of rain
That dances around your light,
A scent that reminds me so much
Of home, with all its ups and downs,
So please don't be afraid.
Perhaps one day, we can share
A taste of the rain long past with each other,
But at this very moment,
Let's enjoy this beautiful view.
