Wake me up from this endless dream,
Where everything is blurring together,
My eyelids are heavy and I'm unable to
Lift myself up from this heavy slumber.
Bring me back to the reality,
Where the world was less colorful and bright
And everything seemed more straightforward,
When there was only one path to take,
Instead of countless rainbows, dancing through the sky.
These dreams are overbearing me,
So fragile, so precious,
Clasped in the palms of my hands,
Glass creatures, paper cranes,
These hopes that I hold so dear,
I don't want them to slip away
Or shatter into a thousand pieces,
So please, please—
if these colors are a dream,
A beautiful, undeserved dream—
Wake me up before I start yearning
For things that were never here.
