Ch-9: Festival Fight

On a late evening, Killian was walking down the walkway in his sandals, shorts, and a basic white shirt on. He noticed that some of the people he walked by was heading off in the same direction as they were also wearing kimonos.

"Do you think they'll have candy apples?"

"Yeah, I'm sure they will."

Killian: 'Wait a sec, the summer festival was today, right? Oh well. There's probably nothing there for me anyways.'

Killian continued walking down the walkway until he stopped to stare at the setting sun. But for some reason, he started to second guess if he should go to the festival. He inhaled and exhaled as he finally made up his mind and decided to go see what the festival was about.

"Timeskip"

After a couple minutes of walking, Killian arrived at the festival. And this place was packed with people, games, food stands, and more. He kind of felt like the odd one out because everybody here seemed to be dressed for the occasion, and he just looked like a simple man. He looked around and saw friends in groups, parents with their kids, and people just having a good time.

Killian: 'This place is real bright. So many people, so many activities. What kind of food do they got here?'

Suddenly, Killian felt someone touch his shoulder, and he turned his head to see two familiar female friends that just so happened to be here with him. Maki and Yoshi in their kimono as well.

Maki: Paisen found!

Yoshi: Found you!

Killian: This is quite unexpected.

Maki: I didn't realize you came to the festival, Paisen. That's the most unexpecting part.

Yoshi: A surprise show up from the weirdo.

Maki: Tell me, whaddya come down here for, hmm?

Killian: I was curious to see what the festival is about. I thought it was going to be not all that, but I was wrong.

Maki: Are you sure? Oh, wait, lemme guess, you thought you might bump into Hayacchi, huh?

Yoshi: You thought!

Killian didn't answer as the thought of Nagatoro actually showing up here was on his mind.

Maki: Too bad for you, dude. She's doing stuff with her club right now.

Killian: Okay, good for her. So, if you'll excuse me...

He was about to walk off, but Maki and Yoshi grab his arms as they didn't want him to leave the festival just yet.

Maki: Come on. You might as well spend some time with us at the festival.

Yoshi: Come on.

Maki: Hey, Yoshi, get the thing we won in the raffle earlier.

Yoshi pulls out a collar and wraps it around Killian's neck without him noticing. And this collar had a lock on it for him not to take off and a leash that goes with it as well.

Killian: Huh? What type of freaky stuff are you guys into?

Maki: Let's go, Paisen!

Maki pulls the leash for Killian to follow them as he tried to remove the collar from his neck. Meanwhile on school grounds, Nagatoro was drying herself off from swimming as she remembered that the festival is today and thought about going there as she thought of Killian suddenly being there. She hears the notification on her phone as she looks at it to see a picture of Maki, Yoshi, and Killian at the festival.
