When Hoseok had first joined Bighit Entertainment, he was met with a very welcoming young alpha— the same age as him— and a peaceful, quiet beta. Kim Namjoon was the group leader, an alpha just like Hoseok was, and Min Yoongi was the beta who had already seemed comforting to stay around.

It was going well with just the three in what was soon to be— supposed to be — a hip-hop group. More people started to join the trainee-to-group-member list, including the introduction of unpresented Jeon Jungkook and omega Kim Seokjin. Things surprisingly didn't change once the omega joined in with the two alphas in the group. Betas Kim Taehyung and Park Jimin were the last two to join— the group was then complete.

But it wasn't until that much hard work as trainees, the absolute hell of thinking "When will we get to debut?" and waiting months and months for it to come about, the number of times Hoseok had counted nearly wanting to give up, and he knew that the others wanted to as well— when they eventually debuted it only raised more questions like "Will people like us?", "What if we mess up our first stage?", "Will this be enough?"

It was fine after a while.

After a while, they started to get ahold of things. After a while, the seven members of Bangtan started to get used to each other. Their scents became like a mold, living in that small one-bedroom dorm, and the scent became a sort of comfort every time they'd walk in. Hoseok could speak for himself to say that breathing in the cozy and familiar scent always had him calm down after a long day of practice. He'd at least get to sleep in that scent for a few hours and that was okay, even if it was such a short time, because he loved the new comfort.

It didn't take long to start loving the members.

They were all so kind to him and Hoseok wanted to protect his new family with everything in him. He'd never leave them even if he was offered a trillion dollars and maybe even a nice coffee. He'd refuse even that!

It also didn't take long before their youngest Jungkook had graduated middle school, soon followed by the success of Bangtan and their first main awards. Soon after, Jungkook graduated high school and it was no surprise that the cutie had presented as an omega. Namjoon had always been protective over the little one— they all were, but with Jungkook's little crush and Namjoon's persistent protection over him, they were sure that the alpha had taken in an omega.

As the years went on and Jungkook got older, it was funny, the way the alpha and omega had started acting around each other. Now fully adults in their twenties, the two couldn't keep their eyes or hands to themselves. They were the alpha and omega of their group. That was all there was to it.

It put a sort of weird feeling in Hoseok's gut, though. If Jungkook had Namjoon, and there was only one other alpha and omega in the group— where would that leave them? Hoseok and Seokjin.

Seokjin had never shown any signs of want towards Hoseok and the alpha had always been playful towards him. It was quite strange, the way they were with each other. They'd been the hope and the comedian of the group, always willing to make the entire group happy and giggle or laugh with them, but they hadn't ever specifically taken to one another.

Hoseok wished he had an omega.

It wasn't that he just had to have one or anything. He just sometimes wished that he could have an omega that wanted— needed him just as much as he needed them. He wanted to come home to his omega and give them kisses all over their pretty face. He wanted to pamper his omega with gentle massages and let them wear his hoodie just so his scent could soothe them. Wanted to run a bath for his omega and offer them wine, candles all around as well. He'd love to... love .
