Seokjin cuts himself off by going silent. His eyes widen and his mouth hangs open as he looks at Yoongi.

BTS go on a short break and Yoongi comes back with something new: his luscious new hairstyle. The oldest alpha of the group really seems to like this new style.

"Yoongi-yah~"

He's working on music in his and Seokjin's shared bedroom, leaning back against his headboard.

Seokjin walks into their room and his scent fills the air; pine and almond. His scent has become so familiar to Yoongi and it even lingers in their bedroom, which is one of the reasons that Yoongi concentrates so well.

Pine and almond have become familiar enough to make Yoongi relax, to make his body wind down and his mind be drawn into whatever it is he's doing in the moment. From fishing with Seokjin and relaxing as he casts his line, to sitting in a room full of people and being able to relax by the alpha's scent; Seokjin's scent is like a blanket of relaxation and fixation.

Yoongi tries not to look up at Seokjin when he walks in, but the older alpha steps up next to his bed and taps the laptop that Yoongi has sitting on his lap.

"Whatcha working on there?" the alpha asks.

Only then does Yoongi look up at him.

He's washed off any makeup he had on from today's filming and he's got his matching pajama set on, so he seems to be ready for bed. Yoongi loves his fluffy hair that sticks up in a few spots and he loves the way Seokjin tilts his head as he waits for an answer.

"Oh. It's just music, hyung. I'm sure you knew that."

"Yeah, but what kind?" Seokjin asks as he steps towards his own bed and lifts the blanket to crawl under. He still faces Yoongi, however, lying his head on his pillow and observing. It's their usual late-night talk, he figures.

He didn't think about the song or about the fact that he'd gotten so lost in his and Seokjin's familiar interweaving scents that he started writing a song for them; it's another song that he'll never show Seokjin or never give to him.

Oh, right.

Yoongi writes songs for Seokjin. Love songs, mostly. Why? Because Yoongi is profusely and undoubtedly in love with the older alpha.

He has no idea how it happened. Seokjin grew onto him so easily and Yoongi secretly loved it back then, right after their debut, when Seokjin would pull him to his lap for photoshoots or when he'd wrap a shy hand around Yoongi whenever he thought he needed the gesture in a crowded room, especially with other alphas around.

He secretly loves Seokjin's bubbly attitude, the way he takes care of his members, the way he lets the omegas curl up into him for snuggles and comfort– though Yoongi wishes he could do that too– and he loves Seokjin's jokes, the way he cooks in another form of familiarity, the way he helps Yoongi rummage through their closet for outfits that he thinks Yoongi should wear, or the way he drags Yoongi to fish with him.
