It's a simple life.

That's what Namjoon would say if he were a straight-up liar.

Namjoon is not only the leader of one of the most admired and beloved packs around— also being a true alpha that others aspire and long to be like simply because he's respectable, handsome, and he's an alpha who knows how to lead— but he's also got one major flaw hidden behind that glorious title of his.

Kim Namjoon cannot find his omega mate at all.

It's not that it's the most important thing in the world or that everybody around him has their mates— except it is, and they do. Namjoon wants nothing more than to find his mate, his chosen one, the supposed love of his greedy alpha's life. Everyone around him including his friends and family have all found their mates, so where does that leave him?

Mates aren't easy to come by and even if they were, only alphas know who their mates are once they meet them. Betas and omegas have to take their word for it; they feel the desire and connection as well, but only alpha wolves can mentally and emotionally feel when they've found their mate– only they can know for sure who is theirs.

Namjoon wouldn't know how it feels.

He'd never find the love of his alpha's pure-hearted life. A kiss, holding hands, even meeting each other, or a simple look in the eyes— he'd never get to meet his omega, he's afraid. But it's all he's ever wanted.

Being a part of the near-famous Kim pack, Namjoon always finds himself surrounded by people; especially omegas.

The pack was too loved and cherished, most likely because of their mighty, strikingly handsome alphas or their tender and caring, gorgeous omegas— and also because they have quite the amount of money and love for their pack. They've made many good pacts with others and they have a great reputation. It was no secret why Namjoon got so much attention.

Namjoon is the leader of this pack.

The true alpha.

Omegas from all over know exactly what Namjoon wants. They're all willing to come forth and try their best to be the perfect omega for him, some even trying to claim to be their mates even though omegas wouldn't know it before the alpha had. They'd try to convince him and get him to pay them any attention.

Cards, letters, sweets they've baked, even the most absurd things like trying to send him nudes or sexy photos to try and lure him in— but those things don't work on him (even when he's in rut!)

The sad part about it is that even when he has given any of these omegas a chance, they take about three days before they're showing their true colors. Money this, money that; sex this, sex that; even trying to tell the alpha that they could someday lead the pack with him as his omega and being rude to Namjoon's friends because they think they can be.

It's all so tiring.

Namjoon doesn't want someone who can only think about money. Money shouldn't even be a part of their conversation within a day of seeing each other— what is it with these omegas? All they do is think about how much money he has or the power he holds over his pack, and how they could 'make the pack better for them'— and in what way, exactly?
