  Things were going well.

Billboards, papers, articles, news reports all with Jeon Jungkook's name written across them. Being a celebrity had been tough, yet rewarding. He'd be forever grateful for everything he'd gotten in life; the success.

Being a singer or songwriter is quite easy if the skills are learned and practiced for years, until the point of exhaustion. But getting famous by singing is another thing. What started as a few fans— his friends— turned into friends of friends, students, teachers, families— and then he joined an entertainment company.

After he joined the company and debuted, things became much easier. Fans grew by the minute and success was just on the tip of his tongue.

There was just one person, though, who absolutely hated the fact that Jungkook had become so popular so quickly.

  Another singer.

Call it jealousy or whatever, but it wasn't exactly a rivalry at first. It was Jungkook's one enemy. Someone who was once an acquaintance. The man he'd met years back and was forced to train with under the same company— it wasn't Jungkook's fault that the man was so easily poke-able, the younger with needles in every word he spoke to him just because it was amusing.

It was funny how easily he could irritate the man. Funny that the man had not liked Jungkook just because he may or may not have chuckled at the man once when he was showing his progress of performance to the trainees and the head CEO of the company. He had fallen during his performance and Jungkook didn't mean to snicker at him, but it was so unexpected! Jungkook felt bad, of course, but he didn't feel so after the man had rejected his apology and threw him daggers.

  That man. Kim Seokjin.

Kim Seokjin had pretty much always not liked Jungkook— still to this day, he doesn't.

It was okay though because Seokjin debuted in a different company about two years later. He debuted singing songs his company made; Jungkook makes his own music most of the time, so he at least had that going for him. And it's not that he doesn't like Seokjin! It's just hard to not shake his head at that guy.

What kind of man holds a grudge over a little chuckle? At least he had apologized. He felt bad, but he couldn't have it in him to feel bad about it for ( now ) four whole years. That's why it was hilarious that Seokjin still hated him.

He needed to let it go...

He debuted a year after Jungkook did and truly, they both never looked better. Their trainee days were hell but after finally getting into things, they started to not only look good, but they started to feel good. Charts, good singing, and positive talk were all a part of success and they had it all.
