Since Namjoon recently moved into his new apartment, he hasn't explored the area around much at all.
He hates staying indoors for too long, but he spent the last two weeks settling in, decorating, and writing book ideas in his new home office– which he's excited to have because his last apartment didn't have one and he only had a small desk to cram into.
Now, Namjoon has his own office with a big desk and plenty of storage for new and old books, plus empty spaces on the walls and floor for art to be placed. He loves his new apartment, but he's been inside for too long and is dying to explore the city.
So, he goes to a cafe to get a morning coffee and then heads to the closest museum to his apartment complex.
The museum isn't huge like the ones he's seen before, but it's a cute little start to Namjoon's journey around the city. He goes in with his tablet in his hands and an idea freshly bloomed in that brain of his; he plans to take his time and look at one art piece a day so he can really dig into the meaning and gather enough inspiration to go home and perhaps write some ideas down.
The first art he sees is modern and he instantly begins research on his tablet, always curious to figure out the meaning of an unknown canvas. He continues with his plan and researches, writes down notes, and thinks of how he could incorporate the meaning of the art into his own writing.
Lately, Namjoon doesn't know what else to write about.
There's a trillion deep meanings in the world, a billion different metaphors and ideas that can flow through his brain, but he still feels so limited. His books are precious to him and his ideas are always a surprise to the company he works with, but he strives to do better and knows it's on the tip of his tongue– words and feelings that haven't yet found their way out of him.
The art museum helps, but Namjoon has written these ideas plenty of times before and it's a struggle to feel something for himself rather than feeling the art he looks at. He wishes he could express himself better. Wishes he could find that spark in his spirit again.
Eventually, he writes the last few notes down on his tablet and begins to head out of the museum. But as he walks around the corner and lowers his tablet, he stops in his tracks as he catches sight of art across the room– no, not art, but a human.
There's a smaller guy standing near the entrance of the museum and he's sorting out pamphlets on the front desk. He wasn't there when Namjoon walked in earlier, but he seems to be busily organizing. When he walks behind the desk, Namjoon realizes that he works there at the information center.
It's just an average countertop desk, about seven feet long, but the man looks tiny behind it and Namjoon doesn't even notice that he's staring until the man glances up and their eyes meet. Namjoon quickly looks away and pretends that he was staring the entire time. He walks straight down the hall and towards the door, ignoring any sort of awkward eye contact.
Once he's out of the museum and free, he exhales loudly and continues about his day, but not without thinking about the cute man behind the desk. Suddenly Namjoon thinks he's a genius for his one-art-a-day plan because now he'll see the guy again and maybe– just maybe– he'll observe a little more than just art next time he visits.

The next day, he goes to the same museum and perhaps he dressed a little nicer with a long grey coat and black turtleneck underneath, and perhaps he also slicked his hair into a perfect style so that he looks nice and cool, but it was for a good cause.
