Princes Seokjin and Jungkook have been at each other's throats since the day they first met. It was an unspoken hatred in the beginning which turned into the princes sending hate letters to each other back and forth.
With their coronations right around the corner and in fear of a possible war, their messenger swaps out Seokjin's hate letter with a love letter.

Next year on Jungkook's birthday, he will be crowned as king; if all goes according to plan, that is.
His father passed away ages ago and his mother is likely tired of being queen all on her own— though Jungkook has helped her, of course. Since she's willing to step down and let her son have the throne, Jungkook is excited. He feels like he's made just for this position. He will be the greatest omega king, no matter the cost.
However, he can tell that his mother is only giving the throne to him for that reason. She knows how much Jungkook is ready for this, but he can also tell that she's the greatest omega queen he's ever known and she doesn't really want to step down just yet.
"I don't want you to step down," he had recently told her. "Our people love you."
She smiled sweetly and told him, "They'll love you even more."
He hardly agrees. She's amazing and has been around much longer than him— though they do love him as a prince, though. It would be hard to choose between the two, but Jungkook knows that his mother knows best for their kingdom.
And Jungkook, well... There's just one thing about him that might leave the kingdom to question his abilities to be a good king. Mainly because of the ongoing quarrel he has with their neighboring kingdom's prince.
Alpha Prince Kim Seokjin.
It was an unspoken feeling between the alpha and omega princes. When they first met as young teenagers, Jungkook felt fire in his gut and Seokjin side eyed him and told him his scent smelled awful— because the fire in his gut made his scent sour and Jungkook already didn't like the guy, but he for sure didn't like whenever he spoke directly to him like that, just to insult him.
They were at a celebration when they met. Jungkook doesn't remember what it was for, but he remembers the fancy suit he was forced to wear. He remembers how charming Seokjin was to everyone, remembers thinking he's too much, and he's gaining all the attention everywhere he goes.
Jungkook was jealous.
And from then on, his jealousy grew into hatred towards Kim Seokjin. He was even more angry when he learned Seokjin presented as an alpha, because deep down, he knew that he'd present as an omega; he was right.
