Ep. 58: An Invitation?

While sitting on his swivel chair behind the desk, Seokhoon scanned the paper works on top of his table and focused deeply while reading every single one of them. It's just 10:00 am in the morning and yet, it was already a busy day for him.

He was so deep into minding the files he was reading when someone knocked on his office's door.

Come in!

The door opened immediately and it revealed his secretary who started to walk towards his desk. He bowed at him and spoke.

Chairman Joo, Chairman Emeritus is here.

Seokhoon nodded in response and replied.

Let him in.

Joo Dantae entered his office and walked straight to his desk. As he reached his son's desk, Dantae looked at him and greeted him.

Son.

Appa, is everything alright? What seems to be the matter?

Dantae took a small white elegant card and placed it on top of his desk.

Look at this.

Seokhoon frowned at the card in front of him as he read Ha Eunbyeol's name. He didn't know why on earth his father is giving him this but one thing for sure, he didn't want to be involved with her or even be near her in any way. He sighed deeply turned his gaze towards his father.

What exactly is this?

It's from Cheon Seojin's family. An invitation to their brat's birthday party.

Dantae replied as he sat down on the couch in front of his son's desk.

Appa, I would rather be with my pregnant wifey and take care of her than to be at that damn brat's birthday. You can always go with Eomma or something as our family's representative.

Dantae hated the idea of going to a party organized by Cheon Seojin or Ha Eunbyeol. He didn't want to be seen or mixed up with crazy people like them. But then, he saw this as an opportunity to execute their plans against Eunbyeol.

Listen to me. I know how much you hate Eunbyeol. We all do. But don't you think it's time to give her the best birthday gift she'd ever receive in her whole life?

Appa, what are you talking about?

Dantae smirked evilly and crossed his legs as he leaned his body on the sofa.

We can totally ruin her special day like how she tried to ruin Rona before.

And how would we do that?

What we have to do is quite simple. Let us make a video clip compiling all the evidences of her wicked deeds to Rona. I know she also invited the big celebrities, personalities, and the media to her birthday party and this is such a perfect time for us to reveal her bad deeds. Imagine the chaos, shame, and shock that will be upon her as she and her bad deeds get revealed to the public. That would be such a scene-stealer, don't you think?

But we have to coordinate with the event coordinator or have an insider within her team. It's not that easy to sneak in just like that.

Dantae shrugged his shoulder in agreement and nodded his head.

You're right. But for now, focus on making our 'birthday gift' for her. I want that to be as grand and intriguing as possible.

Seokhoon smiled with a sinister look on his face. With such determination and thirst for avenging for his soon-to-be wife who was tormented emotionally, mentally, and physically by Eunbyeol, he said in a low yet dangerous voice.
