Yoon Hee and Yoon Chul were sitting in the dining area while drinking a cup of hot tea. Both of them looked stressed at that moment.
Yeobo, do you think Rona would agree to what we have done?
Yoon Chul asked.
Taking a deep sigh, Yoon Hee looked at him with so much worry in her eyes.
Honestly, I don't know. Rona has always been a sweet girl but she hates it when someone decides for her, especially when it comes to personal matters. She's an independent woman. She usually makes decisions for herself and you know that I can trust her with that because she is responsible and smart.
Reaching for her hands, Yoon Chul looked at his wife and said
I know that. But you know I could not refuse Dantae because he will be the one who will help us with our business. You know how tough things are for us and our business right now, right? He will help us with our company but in exchange, he asked us to marry our daughter to his son. It won't be that bad. Seokhoon is a smart and responsible young man. He's doing a great job in managing his family's companies and as far as I know, that kid already achieved a lot at a young age.
Honestly, I was wondering up until now why he wanted Rona to marry his son and not your daughter with Seojin. After all, she has always been the legitimate child----
Not continuing what she was about to say, Yoon Hee looked up at the ceiling to avoid her tears from trickling down her face. Yoon Chul felt a sting in his heart. He knew how much Yoon Hee and Rona needed him before especially when Rona was still a little girl but during those times, he wasn't there to support them, care for them, and love them like how he should have done. He was glad that he was given the chance to make it up to his first love and to his daughter with her.
Trying to divert the topic upon sensing the awkwardness, he looked at his wife and replied
I-I....... I also asked him the same thing and based from what he told me, he wanted it to be Rona because he believes that she is the ideal woman for his son, personality-wise. Eunbyeol still has a lot to learn about maturity and responsibility. The way Cheon Seojin raised her shaped her to what she is now.
In understanding, Yoon Hee just nodded and simply replied
All right then. We'll talk to Rona about this matter tomorrow. Hopefully, she'll understand why we did this. For now, let's call it a day and get some sleep.
Yoon Chul nodded and accompanied his wife towards their bedroom.
The next day, Yoon Hee, Yoon Chul, and Rona started to eat their breakfast together. Silence lingered around the room as the couple continued to glance at each other and their daughter with worried eyes.
Yoon Chul looked at Yoon Hee, as if asking for her permission to tell Rona about her engagement with Joo Dantae's son. With worry plastered on her face, Yoon Hee nodded at him, giving him her go signal.
Rona-yah?
Hearing her father call her name, Rona looked at him.
Yes, appa?
How's everything going for you?
Letting out a small smile, Rona answered his question
I'm okay, appa. I'm taking months worth of rest since I've just finished taping my recent drama with Minhyuk.
