Ep. 67: The Day Has Come

Morning rolled too soon and finally, the day of Seokhoon and Rona's wedding has arrived. Actually, it was not just the couple and their families who anticipated this wedding. Even the media and the whole country was waiting for what they dubbed as the wedding of the century.

Heck! It was not just any ordinary people who were getting married. It's the son of the richest chaebol family in the country and a locally and internationally famous A-list actress. These are BIG SHOTS and their wedding is something that deserves coverage.

The couple's families and friends will be coming to witness this grand event. Even Seokhoon's grandparents flew from US to South Korea to see their grandson's wedding. They were intrigued with Rona as they never had the chance to see her in person. They were aware of their daughter's son being arranged to get married to a drop-dead gorgeous  A-list actress but they never had the chance to talk to her as they were busy traveling around the world and simply enjoying their retirement. They also heard about her from their daughter Suryeon and her husband Dantae who spoke so highly about Rona saying that she is the perfect match for Seokhoon.

FLASHBACK

Suryeon and Dantae were inside the huge study room while speaking to Suryeon's parents through video call. Suryeon's parents knew from the news about Seokhoon's engagement to an actress named Bae Rona. They knew about Seokhoon's ways as a Casanova and thought that the couple would choose to send their grandson to them in States for some discipline however, it surprised them that they decided to set him up on an arranged marriage instead.

So you two decided to setup Seokhoon in an arranged marriage with an actress.

Suryeon's mom asked which earned her a nod from Suryeon and Dantae.

Yes, Eomma. Seokhoon's getting harder to control. We had to put a stop on his womanizer attitude as he is about to run the company soon. We can't afford to have an irresponsible and controversial heir in the near future.

I see. So who is this actress girl that you guys chose for Seokhoon to marry?

It was now Dantae's turn to talk.

It is a famous young actress named Bae Rona. The daughter of my good friend, Ha Yoon Chul of HY Groups.

Oh so she is also from a wealthy family, I see.

Yes, Eommo-nim. We figured that she's a perfect match for Seokhoon. She's so much more than a famous actress and a wealthy man's daughter. She is a strong, independent, smart, and responsible woman. She has the qualities a future heir's wife should possess. We believe that she's the only woman who can tame our wild son.

Suryeon's mother looked at her husband, waiting for what he has to say on this. It was a s if he was in a deep thought since earlier.

I get your point of doing this but how much guarantee do you have that this woman will tame Seokhoon? This is a loveless marriage we're talking about.

Suryeon's dad spoke.

Honestly, we're not even sure about it, appa. I mean, we made the boy choose what he wants to happen to him and he chose to have him married off to someone.

What if this plan of yours doesn't work? What will you do? I mean it could've worked for you and Dantae but Seokhoon and Rona are two  different people with different thoughts and emotions.
