I could feel the sound of the music in my bones as soon as we entered the huge house.
The living room had been stripped of all its furniture so there was enough space for people to move around and dance although a few sofas were around so people could sit.
I was starting to have a headache with how loud the music was and I turned to see Rosa saying something but I couldn’t hear her so she just dragged me with her with everyone following closely.
She opened a door which ended up leading to the kitchen and even though the music was loud, it wasn’t so bad so we could hear each other.
A few people were loitering around the kitchen but luckily, none of them paid us any attention.
“What will you guys have?” A guy with curly brown hair and brown eyes asked us even though he was particularly looking at Rosa with a flirtatious smile.
“We can get our drinks so move on.” Justin told him using one of his crutches to shoo him away which made the guy frown before walking away.
“Is this how you’re going to chase every guy that comes up to me away?” Rosa asked him with a scowl.
“Last I checked, you have a boyfriend and most of the guys here are just looking for who to hook up with so excuse me for looking out for you.”
“Alex is my bodyguard remember? Focus on looking out for Emily.” She said before walking to the fridge and opening it.
“Well, all they have is coke. Where’s all the alcohol?” She asked loudly.
“Outback.” A guy answered making her smile.
“Thank you so much.”
“I’ll have a coke please.” I told her.
“Me too.” Emily said.
“Same here.” Everyone else said.
“Are you guys really going to let me drink alone?” She asked with a pout.
“I don’t think your bodyguard is allowed to drink.” Alex said making her nod.
“You and Joshua are excused because you’re both driving, Fifi too because she hates alcohol but the rest of you are drinking with me.” She said before passing three cans of coke to us.
“You guys want to go to the back, there’s a pool there and the music isn’t so loud.” Lauren said and we all agreed before walking out.
I was surprised by how different the party happening here was different from the one inside. People were dressed in their swimsuits and they kept splashing around. Some people were on the floor passed out from what I assumed to be alcohol.
“Hey guys!”
I turned to see Dylan walking toward us and I couldn’t help but smile.
“What are the odds that the loner will be at a party?”
“As low as you being here.” He replied making me laugh.
“How come you’re here?
“I got invited and it’s wrong to decline when the host herself invites you.”
“Layla invited you?” Rosa asked and he nodded.
“We take a few classes together so we kind of know each other and when she invited me, she didn’t give me a chance to decline so here I am.”
“That’s cool. I’ll be right back guys, I’m going to get us some booze!” She cheered before walking away making her brother shake his head at her.
