I was going to upload this two days ago(which was my birthday) but I've had a really busy couple of days so consider this as a late birthday gift from me to you guys.

Seems like I'll be writing a new book for every birthday I have(I hope)

Anyway, here you go.

I woke up in a bed.

It took my brain a while to register my surroundings before I finally realized that I was in my room.

I got up and walked over to the bathroom to freshen up before throwing on a pair of basketball shorts and a baggy T-shirt. The cramps had disappeared and I was in a slightly better mood so I walked to out of my room to tend to my hungry stomach.

On my way to the kitchen, I noticed two people talking silently and it took me a while to realize it was my sister and Alex.

I walked into the living room and they noticed my presence immediately which made my sister get up and leave but not before she shot me a small smile and I just gave her a blank stare.

I noticed she was wearing baggy clothes which was very unusual because she was the stylish one amongst us but I pushed it away and turned to the grey eyed human in my living room.

“What are you doing here?” I asked him as I walked to sit beside him.

“I couldn’t just leave you alone could I? Plus I didn’t want to go back to school so I decided to hang around.” He asked smiling at me.

“So you used me as your excuse?” I questioned him with a raised eyebrow.

“It was for a good cause.” He defended raising his hands up in surrender and I just rolled my eyes.

“Emily wanted to come but she had a test. She was willing to skip it but I promised her I’d take care of you so she’ll be coming with the gang once school is over.” He told me and I just nodded while we settled into comfortable silence.

“I’m just really glad you’re okay. You scared the shit out of me when you passed out so next time do you mind giving me a heads-up?”

“I don’t think people go around saying ‘I’m going to faint’ before they actually do it.”

“I know but can you at least tell me when next you’re—y’know?” He said with suddenly awkward tone and I turned to look at him before realizing what he meant.

“I’m not going to tell you when I’m on my period Alex.” I told him rolling my eyes.

“Why not? Lauren tells me.” He said with a shrug.

“Exactly! Lauren. She’s your best friend that you’ve known forever and you’ve just known me for about two months. It’s just weird and awkward on so many levels.”

“But it shouldn’t be. It’s a natural phenomenon so I don’t see why it should be a big deal to talk about.”

“Some guys find it irritating to talk about.”

“Well not me. Plus those guys are totally stupid to think that way. It’s life and women don’t deserve to be treated like they have a certain disease because of it.” He said and I stared at him to see a serious look in his eyes and at that moment, I respected him.

It wasn’t everyday that you’d see a guy talk about women and their period like he was discussing the weather or a football game and seeing him talking about it seriously like this made me smile.

“Now on that note, I’m going to track yours.” He said bringing out his phone.

“Don’t be such a creep Alex.”
