Chapter 43

*Casually dusts the cobwebs and walks in like I haven't been MIA for the past 7 months*  😅

I apologize guys, I've genuinely been working on my mental health because everything has been crazy and even writing that serves as my escape wasn't working.

But it's getting better now and I'm on my way to finishing this book(5 chapters left give or take🤞🥺)

“Cannon ball!” Justin screamed and without warning, he jumped into the pool and successfully splashed all of us, excluding Louis who was just walking from the pool house.

“Justin what is your problem? Are you trying to ruin my camera?” Rosa barked at him with a scowl and he just gave her a childish smile.

“Sorry sis, I got a bit excited. Plus your camera is waterproof so why are you stressing?”

“That doesn’t justify you splashing everyone you dumbass.” She spat back at him before going back to what she was doing and surprisingly, Justin didn’t argue with her.

We were currently at Alex’s house hanging by the pool doing ‘Lulu’s weekend of fun with the gang’ and even though I still hadn’t gotten him to agree with the name I picked out, I had successfully made it the official hashtag for all our pictures and he went along with everything.

We went to the amusement park the day before and grabbed an early dinner at our regular spot. After our time by the pool, we were doing a movie night later and the guys had picked the movies and refused to tell us what it was about.

“For the record, I don’t watch horror movies.” I said again making Joshua roll his eyes playfully.

“You’ve said that like fifty times already and everytime we’ve told you that it’s not horror so relax Fifi.”

“It doesn’t hurt to remind you guys from time to time.” I said with a shrug.

“I’ve told you that even if it’s a horror movie, I’ll protect you.” Alex said swimming up to me and standing in between my legs so he could wrap his arms around my waist.

I was currently sitting by the shallow edge of the pool with my legs inside the water so standing in front of me, we were face to face.

“I don’t need you to protect me from a scary movie because I’m not even going to watch it.”

“In that case, I can think of other things we can do to distract you.” He said lowering his voice and bringing his mouth close to my ear so only I could hear it and I immediately felt my face go red at what he was suggesting.

“What do you say babe? Wanna give it a try?” He asked again before placing a kiss on my chin, instantly sending warmth throughout my body even though my legs were inside the pool.

It took all the strength in me but I placed my hands on his chest and pushed him backward making his full body come into view and I sucked in a breath.

His hair was stuck to his forehead as a result of the water and I used my hand to push it away from his face which made his grey eyes stare at me with happiness dancing in them.

Alex was happy because of me and I loved it.

My eyes involuntarily moved from his face to his chest as it trailed lower and lower, I could feel my face go redder and when I got to where his shorts hung loosely by his waist, I immediately looked back up to catch him staring at me with a mischievous smile on his face making me push him to fall into the water.
