Natalie's POV
"No way! That's my guitar? Holy heck it's beautiful, I love the number thirteen right there. I love this."
I grab my electric guitar from Tony who went to grab my guitar from the shop here in New York.
"It's beautiful."
"Nat! Nat we need you here now." Laura shouts.
I furrow my eyebrows as Laura waves her hands frantically. I give my guitar back to Tony as I run over to Laura.
"What? What's going?" I ask and she points behind me. "Lizzie? What are you doing here?"
"It's Christen."
"What happened? Is she okay? Laura, has Alex called me?"
"Not that I know of no." Laura says and I look back at Lizzie.
"Lizzie what's going?"
"I was filming right and in the middle of filming I got a call. Nat. Christen's mom passed away. I don't want to go by myself because I feel like I'd intrude and that gives me major anxiety. I know you're getting ready for your tour bu-."
"Laura cancel all my plans for the rest of the week. Call Taylor fill her in. Come on we're going to LA. Fuck, can you also tell Julia to call me for the thing."
"Got it, let's go." Laura says.

After what seemed like a three day flight we land in LA.
"Give me your hand." Lizzie says.
"Why?"
"Well for starters your ring is showing so maybe switch it and two because I need to hold your hand."
"Oh shit."
I switch my ring to my other hand and to my index finger. We walk out of the airport, our sunglasses blinding out the flash from cameras.
I make sure to have Lizzie right beside as I push us through the crowd of people.
"You okay?" I whisper.
"I'm fine, let's just get out of here." Lizzie says and I nod.
Once we're out of the hectic airport we head towards where Christen would be at.
"Is it appropriate for me to go? I feel like I'm invading." Lizzie whispers.
"She told you herself I'm pretty sure she wants you around. How did filming wise go?"
"I said it was a personal emergency. Which isn't a lie but I wasn't going to say 'hey the mother of the woman I'm seeing just passed away so let me leave or else' now was I?"
"No. Definitely no."
I wrap my around her and she rests her head on my shoulder.
"We both shouldn't be there." Lizzie says.
"I know but she's become a friend to me and more than a friend to you."
We arrive to a house which Alex gave me the address to. Alex called me as soon as Lizzie and I were arriving to the airport in New York.
"Hey, you're okay. I'll be there too."
Lizzie and I walk out of the car and towards the house. I rock back and forth as I knock on the door.
"Oh hey, come in." Tobin says as she opens the door for us to come inside. "Christen is in her room with Alex. Follow me."
I greet Christen's family, introducing myself and talk for a couple minutes then we head upstairs.
"You came." Christen says as she runs to Lizzie.
"Hi beautiful, I'm here." Lizzie says.
I nod my head awkwardly as I walk towards Alex.
"You look tired." Alex says as she pecks my lips.
"That's because I am. I was in New York, why am I even saying that? You know where I was." I whisper. "Lizzie dropped by and we came as fast as we could."
"She won't say it but she wanted her here." Alex whispers and I hum.
"Lizzie wasn't sure if she should come. Thought she might intrude." I whisper back.
"It's nice to see them both actually match each other's like vibe." Alex says. "Like they're exactly what each of them need."
"Thank you for coming. Lizzie just told me you were rehearsing for your tour." Christen says.
I look up and smile softly as I get up to hug her.
"Oh don't you worry about that, let me be worried about that. I know what it's like to lose your anchor, to lose someone so special. But wherever you are she is too." I whisper.
"Thank you, I'm sure you have a lot to do. Both of you and yet you both just stopped and came here. Probably pushing whatever you guys are doing back." Christen says as she looks at Lizzie and I.
"Christen. Let us worry about that, we're here for you and your family. Whatever you need." I say.
"Whatever you need my love." Lizzie says.
Alex's POV
"Does she not want to sleep on the bed? She's more than welcome to." Christen says.
I look up as I continue to run my fingers through Nat's hair, her head on my lap as we sit on the couch.
"I think she's okay here for now. Thank you though." I say and Christen looks at Nat.
"She looks very uncomfortable, her legs are hanging from the couch."
"Babe, Christen wants to know if you want to go to a bed upstairs to sleep." I whisper.
"No I'm fine, I'm fine here thanks." Nat mumbles.
"Alex, your phone." Lizzie says as she hands me my phone.
"Hello?"
"Hi Alex it's Laura. I couldn't reach Nat so I just wanted to let you know Nat has the week off. I made sure to cancel any meetings or interviews. Just remind her that she needs to call Julia."
"Oh yeah she's sleeping right now but I'll let her know."
"Great thanks. Bye Alex."
"Bye Laura."
I hang up the phone as I quickly write everything she just told me in my notes.
"You her manager now? Publicist? Assistant?" Tobin asks snickering.
"I'm her wife. Thank you." I say with a smirk.
"There goes another one." Tobin says and I look up to see Lizzie has fallen asleep as well.
"I can't imagine how tired they both are." Christen says.
"Isn't it weird how we're all in a sense famous but they're both more famous than us." Tobin says.
"Um I don't know?" I say.
"Wow I hate being single." Tobin says. "Good for you two though. Good for you."
