Natalie's POV

"Babe I'm home." I say as I shut the door. "I also brought the cake."

I take my shoes off and put my sandals on as I then head to the kitchen to place the cake in the refrigerator.

"Hey, sorry I was making the bed." Alex says as she walks towards me. I wrap my arms around her as I peck her lips.

"I made the bed this morning though. Right?" I ask.

"You did but I took a nap while you were gone." Alex says and I hum. "How was work?"

"It went well, I was able to finish some editing for the music video. I also began writing a song so that was fun. We're trying to get everything finished soon."

"New song? I want to listen." Alex says and I smile. "Come on please."

"It's not even well enough to even hear a snippet, I'll let you listen to it when it sounds like an actual song."

"Fine I'll wait. Hey how's Taylor doing? She looked off before she left."

"Taylor is not great but not terrible. The breakup is catching up to her now." I say as I grab a cold water. "We still haven't been able to talk about it. There's not enough time."

"Babe. Make time. She's your sister and she needs you."

"I know and I'll make time I promise but we both have a lot going on."

"Well would she want to join us in the evening?" Alex asks.

"She has more work to do tonight. She never stops and she wants to finish. She didn't say what time she'd be done."

"She does know we're finding out the gender of the baby right?" Alex asks me and I nod. "Are you telling me the truth?"

"I am I swear. She knows and she wants it to be just you and me. Intimate."

"Okay." Alex says and looks at me, I couldn't tell what was going on in her mind.

"What's wrong?"

"Nothing, I'm just thinking about how next week will go. But also thinking about how I'm so happy to be married to you. I can't believe we've been married for almost a year. Can you believe that?"

"I seriously don't believe that we've been married for almost a year. Now we're literally having a baby. A child. A tiny human."

"Is it just now hitting you?" Alex asks me and I laugh.

"Maybe." I whisper. "When you're giving birth that's when it's definitely going to hit me."

"Well good thing we have a couple more months before that happens, so you can, you know brace yourself."

"Yes we do." I say as I lean down to peck her lips. "I'm going to take a shower, I'll make us some food and then we grab the cake?"

"Sounds like a plan. I have to plan my stuff as well so I'll be in the office."

"Maybe the couch? Better for your back? You're constantly complaining about your back."

"Are my complaints that bad?" Alex asks, eyebrow raised, arms crossed. "Are you tired of my complaints? Because you do remember I'm carrying a tiny human inside me right? I'm carrying our child, your child."

"I don't mind you complaining I'm just stating that working in the office on a terrible chair will-."

"Will what?"

"You know what I meant to say? I meant to say that you're cute when you complain. Very very cute." I say clapping twice.

"Nice try. Go take a shower."
