Natalie's POV

"I can't believe the tour is so close to ending." Jessa says as we sit down to eat breakfast.

"I can't believe it either. What an experience." I say with a smile. "I hope it's not my last one."

"I'm sure it won't be. Trust me you have a bright future." Jessa says and I smile. "This is only the start for you Nat."

"Thanks, I hope you'll be my Paul."

"To be your Paul means lots of responsibility, Paul is insanely good at what he does."

"Paul has been Taylor's guitarist for years for a reason. Plus it means we'll be in each other lives forever." I say nudging her.

"Well I'm up to try and be your Paul." Jessa says and I smile. "It would be an honor."

I chuckle as I take a sip of my water.

My phone rings, grabbing it from my pockets I get up and walk away to answer it.

"Hey dad."

"Hey kid. Just wanted to call you before I head to work and I'll be taking a long shift. Wanted to catch you before your next show. I hope I'm not interrupting anything." He says.

"You need to stop taking long shifts old man and no I'm just getting breakfast."

"I'm not old."

"Face it you are, those gray hairs are showing." I say chuckling.

"You'll have them too, one day." He says and I shake my head.

"I have a long way until then."

"I thought that as well kid. Well I hope you have a good show tonight kid. I'll call you tomorrow."

"Thanks dad. See you."

"Natalie someone's looking for you." Laura says.

"At this hour? It's six in the morning." I say following Laura.

"It's urgent."

"Is it Taylor? Is she okay? Is it mom?"

Laura waves me off as I open the door to my hotel room.

"Hello?"

"Hi."

"Al- Alex? Baby? What are you doing here?" I smile as I walk over to her, hugging her tight, placing a kiss on her forehead. "What a pleasant surprise."

"I wanted to visit you while I have a small break." Alex says and I smile.

"Well I love that you're here."

"I have a surprise for you, close your eyes." Alex whispers and I raise an eyebrow.

"Why?"

"Just do it. Trust me." Alex says and I smile.

"Okay. I trust you." I close my eyes and I hear Alex open a door. "What are you doing?"

"Just sit and close your eyes. Don't open them. If you open them it'll ruin the surprise."

"Ooh did you bring Taylor with you? That would be a nice surprise." I say smiling.

"I didn't bring her but I did bring someone else." Alex says and I furrow my eyebrows in confusion.

"Someone else? Who? Is it Andrea? That would also be lovely? Austin?" I ask.

"You wouldn't believe who." Alex says closing a door. "Okay open your eyes."

I open my eyes but I don't see anyone. Instead I see some balloons and a bag. I look at Alex confused, tilting my head as I look around.

"So what's going? You said you brought someone." I say standing up. "I'm confused."
