Natalie's POV

"How was visiting the kids?" Taylor asks and I give her a thumbs up.

"I felt like I hadn't gone in so long, but going back and seeing them definitely helped me with my anxiety. We played lots of games, we listened to music and I tried to dance. Overall great." I say as I take my shoes off. "Where's Alex?"

"She's taking a well needed nap." Taylor says and I nod. "Thank you for letting me stay here, I just can't bare to be alone right now. Or ever again."

"You're always welcome here. Also thank you for taking care of Alex."

"How could I not? Not only is she my sister in law, she's also pregnant with my niece or nephew. So I'll take good care of her."

"You're excited aren't you?" I say with a smile, walking to the fridge to grab a can of bubbly. I turn around to see Taylor nodding her head frantically, a smile on her face.

"So excited you have no idea. I've always wanted kids but having a niece or a nephew, to be an aunt? That's going to be so much fun. I'm going to take them with me everywhere."

"No you won't."

"Mark my words bub, I'll be in the studio and they'll be with me recording a song or a whole album. They're going to be my producer. We're going to have so much fun."

"I fear for my child already. I hope you know that."

"I'm going to be a fun aunt and you know it. Just me and your kid."

"Yeah MY kid."

"My niece or nephew." Taylor says.

After bickering back and forth for a good five minutes we end with neither of us winning.

"I wrote a song."

"New music?" Taylor asks, a smirk on her face as she leans back into the couch. "Please tell me more."

"Something like that, it's for what's coming. I've been recording in the studio, Alex and I made time to do the music video but it did get a little hectic trying to find the right time." I say as I walk over to the living room.

"So it's definitely an important song?"

"Very."

"Do you have everything ready for next week?" Taylor asks and I nod. "Do you really?"

"For once yes." I say with a laugh.

"You both have all my support. I honestly can't believe we're doing a lot next week."

"Songs, music video, maybe more interviews? And surprises? Yeah we have a busy schedule coming soon." I stretch and look at Taylor. "We never talked last night. Alex wanted us to talk."

"I know."

"So let's talk whiles she's napping." I say clearing my throat. "How have you been? Like actually. How have you been, how are you?"

"Honestly? Feeling like I'll never get married." Taylor says with a sigh, she looks at me and then down to her cup of coffee.

"You will, you just haven't found THE person or maybe you have and it wasn't the time just then but maybe soon."

"I wanted to marry Joe, Nat. I wanted to marry him."

"Then? What was the problem? I loved you both together. I thought you two were wanting to get married? Or did you just never tell me anything?"

"He didn't want to marry me." Taylor says and I freeze. "He said he didn't want to get married."

"What? No way."

"It's true." Taylor says, setting her coffee cup down in the table in front of us. She looks at me and gives me a weak smile.

"Oh Tay, I'm sorry." I say softly as I scoot over and wrap my arms around her. "I'm sorry."

"I thought he was the one. I loved him."

"Well he definitely didn't deserve you. You deserve better, you deserve someone who loves you for you and what you do. Not someone who's afraid to be in your shadow but rather be the light for you and let you shine."

"I feel so stupid. Like absolutely stupid. How stupid was I?"

"You are not stupid. It's not your fault."

"I thought I'd be married by now and instead I just ended another relationship."

"You'll find the one believe me." I whisper as I kiss the side of her head. "Stay as long as you want. Okay? Or just move in with us."

"I think I'll hang around here a little more. Being around you makes me feel like something in my life isn't completely out of control."

"You know our relationship is the only one we always needed." I say and Taylor laughs. I lean back into the couch as I pull Taylor down with me.

"I guess some things never change and I'm glad our relationship is one that hasn't changed." Taylor says as she lays her head on my chest.

"If anything I think we've definitely gotten closer and have a stronger relationship."

"Oh yeah definitely." Taylor says and I smile. "You're my true soulmate."

"Okay but she's my wife." Alex says.

Taylor and I are caught off guard as we turn around and see Alex walking out of the kitchen. Ice cream in one hand and chips in the other.

"Morning babe it's five pm." I say. "You okay?"

"Just took a long nap. I'm great. Although my belly is really starting to get in the way now."

"Do you need anything?"

"Not right now. Later maybe a nice foot massage." Alex says, I nod and give her a thumbs up.

"Will do."

"Did you guys talk?"

"We did." Taylor says and Alex looks at us.

"Good. Finally. Now communicate better from now on." Alex says as she leaves and walks back to our room.

"I could have sworn our therapist said we had to communicate better." Taylor says with a hum, lifting her head up slightly to look at me.

"To be fair we also stopped going after she told us that, so.." I say tapping my foot. "Both at fault I suppose."

"We're both definitely at fault." Taylor says.

I squeeze Taylor and pat her back as we sit in silence.

"Thank you for never giving up on me." I say breaking the silence.

"I could never." Taylor says patting my leg. "Thank you for never giving up on me, even when others did. For never having so many expectations from me but also keeping me in check."

"Too many people have high expectations of you and although you know I do have some sort of expectations of you it's usually of making sure you're resting that you're taking care of yourself despite how much you're working."

"Thank you." Taylor says as she looks up at me.

"For what? Treating you like a human being?" I say with a smile and shoving her a little bit.

"For loving me despite my stupidity."

"You're not stupid. You're human. You're also annoying sometimes too I hope you know that. Especially in the middle of the night when you wake me up to show me a song you wrote."

"See if you weren't about to have a child I'd strangle you." Taylor says sitting up and I gasp.

"And murder your number one supporter? Please. You wouldn't dare." I say with a smirk.

"Ugh you're so right." Taylor says with a sigh. "Too much work hiding your big body."

"You love me though."

"I do. Tons."
