Natalie's POV
"Okay everyone three minutes until we go out there." I say as we all huddle up. "I know you're nervous, I'm nervous too. But let's enjoy this first night, have fun, don't be afraid to walk around the stage. Shake those nerves off, we're here for a fun night."
"Which lasts until November." Jessa says which makes everyone laugh.
"We're a team. For many of you this is your first tour, it's mine as well, as an artist alone. Let's have some fun and put it all out there tonight. Let's go, let's go, let's go." I shout and clap.
The band all head out to get ready while I stay back. I look behind me to see my number one supporter, who I'm still mad at. And I'll still be mad at until I want to.
"Go out there and have fun, if you get nervous look for me, I'll be somewhere hiding in the crowd." Taylor says.
"Is that even safe?" I ask and she laughs then shakes her head.
"No. No it's not. I'll be with mom so just look for us." Taylor says and I nod my head.
"One minute." Jerry says and I give him a thumbs up.
"I never thought I'd be doing this but, I'll be doing the honors." Taylor says as she hands me my guitar. "Go out there and have fun."
I hear the band begin to play the intro, I walk over to the stairs as I wait for my signal.
"Go kick ass." Jerry says as we fist bump.
"Here we go!" I shout.
"Go." Jerry says patting my back.
I run out towards the stage with my guitar. I look all around the stadium, it was full. These people support me and like my music. I smile as I get closer to the mic.
"Beginning. Two. Three. Four." My IEM announces.
I grab the microphone, letting go of my guitar. I smile as I begin to sing.
Life in a glass bottle that's capped
They're settling their thoughts on what they can catch
My eyes peer out, see what I will
How can I outrun the kill?Won't you break for me
It all goes to say
Like ley lines, find meaning to take hold
It all goes this way
On empty we will what we make whole
It all goes to say
Like ley lines, find meaning to take hold
It all goes this way
On empty we will what we make whole
It all goes this wayOnce finishing the song, the band continues to play as I grab the microphone.
"What's up LA." I say into the mic. I smile as I take one IEM out and hear the crowd. "Thank you for joining us tonight on this beautiful Friday night. It's an honor to be here."
"Kilby Girl. Two. Three. Four."
The band begins to play the next song as I unbutton my shirt a little as I'm already sweating.
"Sing it with me." I say.
We're both throwing smoke into the night
It's raining I suppose that you need a ride
She said I've got nothin' to do and neither do you
There's a place down the road where we can waste the whole afternoonI overheard that she was nineteen
She's got a fake ID and a nose ring
Those kind of girls tend to know things
Better than I do
And I'm dying
To figure out what she's hiding
She's playing it cool but she's lying
Better than I do
