Jenna stood motionless until a guard finally spoke to her. "You okay there, lassy? He must of given you quite a scare."

"Yes, I'm fine," she replied.

The guard looked down at his feet. He picked up the knife and inspected it closely.
"That's a fine blade there. Elvish, if I'm not mistaken."
He placed the dagger in Jenna's hand.

"Keep it," he said softly,"it will most likely come in useful."
He turned on his heel and walked towards his injured comrades.

Jenna walked home. The houses either side of her slowly began to shrink and become more simple until she was in a street full of slums. Home sweet home she thought, as she stepped inside a small shack. A simple bed, table and a small stove was all that was contained in its single room. Jenna sat down on her bed. A rumble in her stomach reminded her, she forgot to get food! "Looks like I'm going hungry again tonight," she said aloud.

"Not at all," came a voice from the door. Jenna squinted her eyes. She gasped and said,"You!?"
"The one and only!" the boy replied with a laugh,"How's it been since the last half-hour since our little meeting?"

Jenna's mouth went dry.  "Please don't hurt me!" she pleaded.  He looked at her confusedly.

"What are you on about?  I came to bring you this,"

He dropped a small bag on the table. Jenna eyed it suspiciously. She pulled the drawstring and peered inside. "Food!" she cried.

"Yep.  It's just a little something to say sorry.  You know, for the whole "hostage" thing,"

He held out his hand.  "The name's Blue.  Professional armed guide.  Well, I was.  I got bored of that line of work pretty quickly,"

Jenna nodded nervously.  "My name's Jenna.  I don't really have a job,"

"Good to finally get to know you.  Now, I'm going to have to cook this stuff.  Do you mind if I use your stove?"

"Sure, but there's nothing to light it with."

"Eh, no problem."

A small ball of fire appeared in Blue's hand. He placed it in the stove and a warm fire burst into life. Jenna gasped. "You're a mage?"
