After a lot of running and leaping, the three finally reached The Palace. The fortress was huge. Carved into the stone walls were statues of previous kings. The gates lay open with not a guard in sight. They began to dash through the gardens, leaping over flower beds and ducking branches. The great wooden doors to the inside lay open.
"Before we go in" said Ty, " can I just ask why are we doing this?"
"Because helping King Henryn will hopefully clear my name" answered Blue.
"What do you mean?"
"Well, I kinda stole a couple of things, got arrested, nearly killed Jenna and jumped off a bridge."
Ty just stared. They continued on into the cavernous hall. The walls were decorated with portraits. There was a long blue rug on the floor. Banners bearing the human insignia, an upside-down blue triangle topped with three squares, hung from the ceiling. Jenna listened carefully. She could just about make out faint shouts echoing down from a corridor on the left. The motioned for the other two to follow her.
They barreled down the hallway. Large chandeliers hung from the ceiling, illuminating the corridor. They took a left, then a right. The shouts were getting closer, thought Jenna. Suddenly, a door to their left burst open with an almighty crash.
