The tunnel led to a cave covered in greenery. Roots and vines hung from the ceiling, flowers and leaves grew out of the walls and a thick layer of moss covered the floor. The strange, bulbous plants from the tunnel were lighting up the cave. In front of Blue was a curtain of vines. Without a moments hesitation, he brushed them out of the way. What he found behind them, really confused him.
It looked like a person, but made of plants. Large green leaves grew from her head to all the way down its back, giving the appearance of hair. She wore a white dress made from vines and flower petals. It looked towards Blue with blank, glassy eyes.
"Good day, Blue. The treesss have told me of your arrival" she said, hissing slightly.
"A... Are you the Dryad? I was told to come to meet you" stammered Blue.
"Ah yesss, by Lelitra. Isss she recovering well?" asked the Dryad.
"I think so. Wait, how do you know what happened?" questioned Blue.
She laughed softly and spread her arms out wide.
"I have eyesss and earsss everywhere, Blue. The leavesss above you, the grasss beneath you, even the mosss between the cracks in the pavement. And although I can't sssee you directly, the vinesss tell me that you look wonderful. That coat really does sssuit you" complimented the Dryad.
"Uh... Thanks?"
"You are mossst welcome. Now, onto the matter at hand, why you are here. Come clossser"
Blue took a few steps towards the plant-like being. He was sweating. The way that she stared at him, never blinking, really unnerved him.
"Now, ssstand ssstill. And pleassse, don't ssstruggle"
Blue was confused at this statement.
"What do you mea- GODS ABOVE!!!"
He looked down to see vines wrapping around his feet, snaking up his leg. They coiled around his torso, pinning his arms down and rendering him helpless. The Dryad suddenly reached out with both hand and placed her hands on the side of his head.
"You are ssso much like her, you know"
"Who?"
"Aerili, of courssse. Lovely girl. Beautiful wingsss"
"WHAT!?"
"Don't shout, pleassse. You'll upset the rootsss. Now letsss sssee what's going on in your head"
She quietly hummed to herself as she moved her hands over Blues head. After a few minutes, she spoke again.
"Ah, here we are. A memory block"
"A what?"
"It'sss a ssspell that preventsss people from remembering certain thingsss. For inssstance, their childhood"
He found her accuracy to be very alarming.
"Now be ssstill, this isss going to be very interesssting"
