The colossal skeleton gripped its hammer tightly and swung with all its might. It missed the trio and hit the huge stone spike. Its top half fell to the ground with a crash.
"King Henryn! Marianna! Get out of here now!" yelled Ty at the top of his lungs. The monarch dutifully did as he was told. However, his young daughter wasn't so quick to follow Ty's commands.
"Let me stay!" she shouted,"I can fight!"
"With your bare fists against a giant skeleton made of bone and metal? I don't think so, sunshine!" Blue replied.
"How dare you! You shall address me by-"
"HOW ABOUT YOU GET OUT BEFORE WE'RE ALL CRUSHED TO DEATH!!" screamed Jenna. The princess went silent and quickly left. The skeleton, as if it was angry at not being included, roared and brought its hammer down on where Jenna was standing. All three ducked behind some rubble.
"Alright," whispered Blue,"We have to come up with a plan!"
"Could we try your little earth-spike trick?" inquired Ty.
"I doubt that would kill it" said Jenna.
"Shh! Keep your voice down" hissed Blue. Behind them, the skeletal behemoth roared in anger as it fruitlessly searched for them.
"But you have a point" continued Blue,"it's just too big. However, I think I can immobilise it. Can you two do what you did with the smaller ones?"
"We can try" said Jenna. Ty sighed.
"HEY! BONE-HEAD! DOWN HERE!" yelled Ty, waving his arms frantically.
The giant, overcome with rage, stomped after him. Ty mumbled and dashed out of the way. Just as the skeleton was about to crush him into something finer than sand, several crossbow bolts ricocheted off of its skull. Grunting in exasperation, it turned its head and spotted the young girl firing the small projectiles at it. She began to run off. The beast pursued.
"NOW, BLUE!!" she bellowed.
He didn't need telling twice. Once again, Blue brought his foot down, and then immediately back up. Just like before, a huge stone spike erupted from the ground. It severed the skeletons left leg, which came crashing down in a hail of splintered bone and broken metal. The spike pierced through the large skull it had for a chest, leaving the monster immobile. The hammer slipped from its grasp and fell to the floor, shattering many tiles. The skeleton waved its arms around in outrage, but it couldn't free itself. Blue smiled to himself.
"What do we do now?" asked Jenna.
Blue began running towards it.
"I have absolutely no idea!!" he called behind him.
