Chapter 37 - A Rude Awakening

Blue felt a poke in his ribs.  Still asleep, he attempted to brush away the source of annoyance.  He heard a sigh of irritation and suddenly he couldn't breath.  His eyes snapped open.  He felt a wave of panic come over him, until he saw Jenna holding his nose, blocking his air supply.  He frowned as she let go.

"I'm sorry, but you were dead to the world" she said, "You know, you are a really heavy sleeper"

"I know.  Anyway, why did you wake me up.  There better be a good reason" he replied.

"Ty's gone"  

"I said there better be a good reason"  

  Her face grew angry.  "Blue!  Ty is our friend... sort of"

"I know, I know, I was joking.  He's probably just gone to relive himself"

"Last time I checked, it doesn't take someone two hours to do that"

"Well then, we have a problem"

"We have to go look for him.  He could be in danger!" said Jenna.  She sounded really worried.

"Yeah, yeah, just let me get dressed"

He struggled out of his tangled bedroll and pulled on his coat.  After putting on his boots and buckling his belt, Blue stepped outside the tent.  Jenna was waiting by the fire, her nose stuck in her book.  She looked up at him. 

"Are you ready?" she asked.  Blue nodded.  Once again he cleared his mind and clenched his fist.  The glowing rune came to him much quicker this time.  He opened his fist and a glowing orb floated up into the air, just above his head.

"TY!?" called Jenna," ARE YOU THERE!?"

"Where are you!?  I want to go back to bed, come on!" called Blue aswell.  The dark forest provided no answer.  He kicked at a root in frustration.  

"Where is he?" he asked angrily.

"Shush!  Do you hear that?" whispered Jenna urgently.  Before Blue could reply, she raised a finger to her lips and motioned for Blue to follow her.  He cocked his eyebrow inquisitively.  Jenna simply frowned and began to creep through the undergrowth.  With a sigh, Blue followed her.
