Blue wheeled around and leaped to the side just as two swords came whistling down upon where he was standing. The wielder of the blades drove at him, slashing the arm of Blues coat. He drew his sword and parried another attack from his adversary. This one is skilled, thought Blue, dodging attack after attack. Jenna stood worried. What should I do, she thought, a dagger is no use in a sword fight. She looked down. There was a gap in their attackers armored leg plates. Maybe if her aim was good enough...
"Woah!" cried Blue, as a sword just missed the top of his head. His attacker laughed.
"Fall to me, wizard boy!"
"Not today!"
Blue dodged nimbly to the side and kicked his opponent in the stomach. He keeled over in pain.
Jenna saw her chance. She drew one of her daggers, and with a quick flick of her wrist, she sunk the blade deep into the madmans leg. He let out cry as he fell to the ground, knocking himself unconscious against a rock.
"W.....What was that?" asked Blue, out of breath.
"I don't know" replied Jenna. She looked at the slumped figure. "Should we just leave him there?"
"No, we should wait until he comes round, ask who sent him. In the meantime, could you go get a needle, some thread and the red potion from the saddlebags, please?"
"Sure"
She returned with the items and laid them beside him. He drank the potion and watched as the wound on his arm closed up. Next, he closed his eyes and his hands began to glow with a soft, golden light. He placed them over the young mans leg and kept them there for half a minute. When he removed them, the gash had disappeared. "Right" he said, "help me get him inside"
Together they lifted him onto the sunken bed in the rundown house. Blue picked up the two swords. "I'd better hold onto these"
Suddenly, a leather tongue shot out of his bag, wrapped around the blades and pulled them inside. "Really, Bahg?"
"Is that what you named him?"
"Yeah"
"Well then, we have a lot of waiting to do."
