Blue began to get frustrated.  He had been following Jenna as she tracked the source of this sound that only she was able to hear.  She regularly darted behind trees and through bushes.  At last she stopped behind a large bush.  There was a warm glow coming from behind it.  Jenna pressed her finger to her lips and drew her daggers.  Blue rolled his eyes and unsheathed his sword.  They both quietly peeked through a gap in the hedge.  There was a large fire in the middle of the clearing.  It blazed brightly, sending sparks flying into the night sky.  At the edge of the clearing was a tree, and tied to that tree, was Ty.  He said nothing, but his face portrayed utter fear.  His bare feet was covered in scratches.  A thick rope bound him to a tree.  Jenna climbed through the bushes.  Blue followed.

"Are you alright?" asked Jenna worriedly.

"One minute I was asleep, the next... " he answered.  He sounded completely confused.

"Don't worry, I'll get you out" she replied.

She brought the shining metal of her dagger to the rope and began to saw through it.  It cut easily.

"That's Elven steel for you.  I don't know how they do it" said Blue, turning around, "Anyway, let's get back to ca-" He froze in place.

They were surrounded by several people, around eight in all.  They wore simple tunics made from fur and pelt.  Some women even wore jewelry crafted from sinew and bone.  They all stared at the newcomers.  A large bearded man stepped forward.  His eyes were a strange shade of amber.

"You, purebloods, leave now, but our prey must remain" he said.

"Who are you calling prey?!" shouted Ty angrily.

"It tastes better when it fights back" said the man hungrily.

Blue was taken aback.  Were these people, cannibals?  The bearded man turned to him.

"You and your girlfriend may leave.  But the black-haired one stays"

"WHAT?!" cried Blue and Jenna simultaneously.

"We are not in a rel-" began Blue.

"Enough!  I say we kill them all!" interrupted a fair-haired woman.  The group's bearded leader looked up to the sky.

"Well, it's not like we have a choice now" he said mysteriously.

A dark cloud moved across the sky, revealing the moon and it's orbiting sub-moon.  It filled the clearing with silver light.
