"There it is!" called Blue excitedly. A small town loomed in the distance. The buildings were dilapidated and burnt-looking, and the large manor house was completely razed to the ground. The pair dismounted their horses and began to walk through the ruined streets of Swiften. Plants grew all over the destroyed buildings.
"I come here every year, but I'm not exactly sure why. I suppose it's just nice and peaceful" said Blue.
They came to a stop in front of and old blacksmiths forge. Unlike the other buildings, this one and been crudely repaired. New planks were nailed on to the roof and some of the supports were replaced.
"This is where I first remember being. One day I woke up in this very forge with my blue coat on and my sword lying beside me. I had no previous memories. It was quite frightening to be honest. But after living her for a few months I finally decided to leave and head for the City" Jenna listened carefully.
"But that was eight years ago" he continued. They walked into the house that connected to the forge. It was old and crumbling, yet it was clean.
"So was this where you lived?" asked Jenna.
"For a month or two, then I moved to the City. I was twelve at the time" replied Blue "Wait, what's this?"
He grunted as he lifted a loose tile from the ground. Hidden in a small cavity was a leather bag with buckles shaped like interlocking claws on the straps.
"Maybe there's something inside it?" suggested Jenna.
Blue nodded. He stuck his hand in. "That's weird"
He pushed it in deeper until his whole arm was in the bag.
"It's almost bottomless. Maybe it's enchanted" he said.
Suddenly, the opening tightened on his arm. "GAAAAH! Get it off, get it off!!" screamed Blue.
Jenna rushed over and pulled as hard as she could. She tugged it off Blues arm and flung it across the room. Blue drew his blade and pointed it at the bag. The strange buckles snapped in half and the seemed to stand up, using the straps like legs. Two eyes appeared above the opening which was now a mouth.
"Well what do you know, it's sentient" said Jenna. Blue sheathed his sword and picked up the now living bag. It licked his face with a long leather tongue.
"He's kinda cute too" said Blue "I think I'm going to keep him"
The bag creature hopped on to his back and transformed back into a normal bag. Blue and Jenna stepped back outside the house.
Jenna glanced behind her and yelled, "BLUE! LOOK OUT!!"
