"And then I got back down on my hands and knees and left" concluded Blue. He had retold his experience to his companions once he gotten outside.
"Woah, sounded horrible" commented Jenna, not looking up from her book.
"It was. Hey, are you actually listening?"
"Hang on... yes, I was"
"Okay then. She also taught me how to do this"
He visioned the green runes in is mind. He rubbed is thumb against his palm and a small brown balled popped into his hand. It was engulfed with green energy and small leaves orbited it's centre.
"Cool, what does it do?" asked Ty, disinterestedly. He was busy polishing his armour plates.
"Let's find out, shall we?"
Blue brought his arm back and threw the sphere. It flew gracefully through the air before landing on an empty patch of grass and violently exploding. The sound resonated throughout the hollow. Jenna jumped up and dropped her book.
"Burning Pyros! Why didn't you warn me that you were gonna do that!?" she inquired angrily.
Blue sighed and looked towards Ty.
"So, where to now?" he asked.
"Back to the City, I suppose" he replied,"But first, you might want to clean your forehead"
"What?"
Ty picked up a shiny armor plate and held it in front of Blue. There was a yellow mark on his forehead, shaped like someones lips. He rubbed it off with his coat sleeve.
"Ew"
"I think we should stop here" announced Blue. They had been walking for hours, and the trees were blocking out the little sunlight that they had left.
"We don't have a tent. How are we supposed to sleep?" said Ty. Suddenly, Bahg hopped off Blues back and on to the ground. He gave a small grin before spitting out three rolled-up tents, three fur sleeping bags, an iron pot, some metal pegs, a hammer, some wooden poles and a small note. Blue picked it up and read it out loud.
""Hope these help. Signed, Marianna." Well, that solves that problem"
Ty began to set up the tents.
"Where's the pegs?" he asked.
"I have them here" replied Jenna, handing him four pegs.
"Can I have a pole?"
"Here ya go"
As he was about to hammer in a peg, Ty looked at his empty right hand.
"Where is my hammer?!"
"I have it here" said Jenna, barely able to contain her laughter. Ty sighed and continued his work.
After a meal of venison and ale (another gift from Marianna), Blue finally settled down to sleep in his tent. The dying embers cast a red glow on the canvas of his tent. It had been a long day, and there was more travelling ahead of him. He thought about the events that had happened. He had so many questions. Why was Swiften attacked? Why was he given the stone? Why did the mysterious swordsman spare him? So many questions, so little time. And with that, Blue fell into a deep and dreamless sleep.
